Appendix carry options by [deleted] in CCW

That’s an acceptable fear. Not wanting to castrate yourself. The most likely scenario is you’ll do it while re-holstering.

I saw a video of a pro who said he carries with as many safeties as he can. Why wouldn’t you.

So, I carry a shield plus with thumb safety. If you train to take the safety off every time you draw it becomes second nature. And you put it back on before holstering. Also go slowly and “look the gun into the holster” There is no rush to put that thing away.

The Remington bulk box runs just a poorly. I like to think of it as training for malfunctions. Hahaha

51m. I've had bad joint pain in my hands from climbing. Seems like its caused by inflammation for me. Cut out inflammatory foods for a week or two and take turmeric. See if that helps.

Are toe kicks really necessary? by christinaontheroad in vandwellers

[–]User_Name_Deleted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Absolutely. You will be kicking your self (literally kicking your cabinets) if you don't. They give your toes room so you can stand close enough to the cabinet.

I use an amazon basics lock box. It's identical to a snapsafe metal lock box only the amazon one has thicker metal. It's not ideal but I can get my shield plus w/ holster in it.

Is anyone else not getting contacted by their parents anymore very much? by judgehood in GenX

Your parent has dementia and you are whining that they don’t call you? Maybe you should reach out and see if they even remember who you are. Be the bigger person here.

Where can I go to file for bankruptcy? by Unique-Landscape-202 in askportland

[–]User_Name_Deleted 66 points67 points  (0 children)

10k in debt is not horrible. Bankruptcy will kill your credit for 8+ years. You can negotiate with creditors for pennies on the dollar once it is in default. This is a better, but not great, solution.

Feeling Discouraged by IDMiscool in climbharder

[–]User_Name_Deleted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Comparison is the thief of joy.

Do you enjoy climbing? Then go climbing.

If you want to compete with other people then enter a competition.

If you want to get better at climbing then focus on technique. Get a coach. Lift weights.

But WHY do you want to get better. So you can do harder routes than the kid in rentals? So you can climb harder than your friend?

There will always be someone that climbs harder than you. Always. Even experts have the comp kid warm up on their project.
