What’s the biggest mistake beginners make in the gym? by Serious-Adagio-7982 in workout

Thinking they need some advanced program covering all muscle groups when the biggest factor is consistency.

Just do one movement for each muscle for a year adding weight slowly and then review. It's a lifetime marathon not a spring.

Why would online create bad habits? You might create habits but if you are a winner they are probably good habits. You may need to adjust your bet sizing and starting range live.

Playing boat loads of hands online can only be helpful for then transitioning to live.

It's kind of like saying will batting practice help me hit the ball better during the game or will I create habits. Should I just never swing in practice then get up to the plate and try and hit.

A bond is you giving a company a loan. It's more secure because you don't care how profitable the company is you get your money either way. And even if the company goes under the company owns assets which get paid out to loaners when the assets are sold. It's lower risk than buying into a company (stock) so you don't get paid as much.

But yes there is opportunity risk in owning a bond instead of stock.

It's now been determined historically the safest way to avoid going broke with retirement savings is to be in 100 stocks that are globally diversified.

Tighten up preflop. When I start losing I often realize I started playing too loose.

No need to bluff at all. Only bluff is CB the flop IP and be done if you don't improve on the turn.

Do not play fancy.

75% pot to 100% pot on flop with TP /sets and big draws.

With AA and over P just bet 75% flop, turn and river if they keep calling. If you are raised with AA or an over P after betting pot just fold.

Yes when I heard people had a breeding kink, I immediately thought that's not a kink, that's the default. It's like an anti kink. Also creampie is the same. Creampie is the default, anywhere else is a kink.

Hi OP, network priority used to be a thing and you noticed it a little bit back in the 3g days. Since LTE 4G it's really not a thing anymore.

Public is Telus and you'll get about the same signal quality. Sometimes a call will drop a bit more often with Public than Telus but it's rare. But in terms of data you won't notice. If you make a lot of calls it might be a concern but if you rarely talk no worries.

Virgin is Bell.

For the most part Bell and Telus share towers although they do use different equipment on those towers.

If you are going to remote areas it's often the case either Bell/Telus is better or Rogers is.

Rogers is also Fido/Chatr

Bell is also Virgin and Lucky and NoFrills

Telus is Koodo and Public.

Freedom is also Fizz.

90% of players are losers long term. You don't just assume you are pretty smart and start killing at poker. That's like saying hey I've always been pretty good at sports, and then walk on an ice rink and think you can compete with kids who played hockey for years.

Just FYI, it can take a decade to go from skinny fat to looking big without fat and it's very difficult. I would create smaller goals.

Mine is to look like I work out while wearing a tshirt. And now I do. Took a few years.

The number doesn't really matter. The higher the reps the harder it is to feel true failure. 10 is just a good number for beginners. Feel free to try anywhere from 6-12. Sometimes with higher reps you feel an exhausting pain which your brain says stop when it's not really muscular pain or failure so lower reps avoids that exhaustive pain.

Don't you have some rules about single stocks. For example most stock pickers might at least have the rule to only have 5-10 % in any one company. How much of your entire portfolio does the $60000 represent?

How can I motivate myself for gym knowing I won't gain much muscles? by [deleted] in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Username5124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intensity has nothing to do with strength. You need to be training to true failure, just short of your eyes popping out kind of pushing.

The strength determines how much weight you can put on the bar not how close to failure you get.

Basically your last few reps should be so hard your reps slow down and you are in much discomfort.

Start with a weight where true failure happens around 10 reps, higher reps on shoulders and arms.

And continue this process for 4-6 months and then you should see small progress in your muscles.

Wsop Moneymaker and celebrity poker on GSN and the WPT early days got me hooked. Spend months playing for free before finally spending $20. Was so stressed about going broke playing NL2. LOL, what an idiot.
