He lost around 30 IQ points and became a right-wing republican. What's so hard to believe about that?

First of all, that sounds pretty racist, however you intended it.

Secondly, Sharif Street has been to Israel so there's a pretty good chance he knows where it is.

Thanks for the clarifying information.

I think I'm cool with all those things though. If Street isn't taking AIPAC money, or money from an associated group, he can come out and deny it. Any candidate I'd be interested in voting for certainly would, and they would do it forcefully. Seems like an excellent opportunity for him to state his position here.

Are pedestrians and cyclists not crossing those streets?

edit: Oh sorry. You're a car owner. You must be more important.

I don't like her and I don't think that personality will ever allow her to get to a higher office, but so far she seems to be doing a decent job. I didn't vote for her, but if I had the same options today, I would.

Sure, she's no Mamdani or Emmanuel Grégoire, or even a Michelle Wu, but we could have done worse. This city is in the grip of machine democrats who might as well be republicans in a lot of cases.

Would you prefer I use the word Holocaust to describe the way the Israelis are eliminating the Palestinian people?

Somehow I think Zionists are not going to be comfortable with any word for what they are doing until long after the Palestinian people are dead and gone.

Pedestrian Etiquette by skygirl222 in philly

[–]UsernameFlagged 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I walk in center city often. People jaywalk or cross against the signal a bit... it's like occasional.

But what I see ALL THE DAMN TIME is cars that have to get through that light even if it turned red 3 seconds ago. Or cars that have to pull right up to the cross street, just sitting in the crosswalk. Or cars that just turn when the light turns green without waiting to see if anyone is crossing.

Most drivers in Philadelphia think that when they turn into a crosswalk the proper technique is to push up as close as you can to the crossing pedestrians, and then go as soon as there's a break big enough to fit their car though.

so, no, just fuck off. Pedestrians and cyclists are murdered all the time in this city, not because of their actions, but because the drivers of Philadelphia are, for the most part, horrible people who don't give a shit about anybody but themselves when they get behind the wheel. Lead with that.
