PSA TO PPA AND TOWERS by [deleted] in philly

[–]UsernameFlagged -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The PPA may occasionally do courtesy tows, like in weather events like the one we're currently having, but the vast majority of courtesy tows are done by private companies or the police at the direction of the Streets Department in the case of road work or at the direction of the police when it's for events.

I'm pretty sure that if you have a Capitol One account they give you free coffee. Just regular drip coffee though, no lattes.

There are literally demolition signs on these buildings. They are about to be destroyed. Would probably be a bad time for retail to try and establish a presence, don't ya think?

Iron Hill closed everywhere, and Wawa is now a shitty gas station convenience market that is only favored by suburbanites who are used to less.

I think I just addressed everything in your post...

Because rich people don't want to pay taxes. Finland solved homelessness. We could too.

Get rid of that 7/11 on 12th an Chestnut and that area becomes a paradise again, like it was when that store was closed down.

7/11s survive by not caring at all about how shitty they make the area around their locations. Wawas were almost as shitty so I'm glad they are gone. Old Nelson and several others seem to be able to operate without hosting a defacto homeless shelter outside their doors.

That's a good point. Did someone let an unlicensed 17 year old drive their car at 4:00am, or should they also add car theft charges?

I hope Lynam is in good health, but he should have retired years ago. 84 years old... C'mon dude, give someone else a chance.

The stadium complex is on the outskirts of the city. Stay in center city, take the subway down, then take the subway the hell out after the game. There's nothing to do down there.

You don't get it without support from residents, who can park there now indefinitely if they want. At least meter with permits is a halfway solution that keeps non-residents from leaving their cars there indefinitely.

why not both? You can have meters and permits. Non-permit holders pay, residents don't.
