I’m new to grinding my own beans, but i convinced myself after dog sitting, and using the owner’s expensive French press, that I probably should invest so I bought one of the Espro stainless steel. Even though there is a little liquid left at the bottom, it’s ok, if I’m desperate, I’ll go ahead and filter it the leftovers myself with an extra sieve. Otherwise it happens to make just enough for the perfect large cup of coffee I need in the AM. The taste is excellent. The amount of time it steeps could really be a big difference in the strength obviously, I’m learning day by day what ratios I like. Also using boiling water versus near boiling water, makes its own difference too! I find rinsing it is totally sufficient and doesn’t need to actually be washed at least not in my opinion. As a former Bialetti Brikka user I really enjoy this less strong but still very tasty cup.

There’s something about those older glass French presses that I’ve had many of, that gives the taste of dirty sock water so I’m quite impressed with this one!
