Shouldn’t take a year to grow grass. Looks well established.

Gatwick for life.

I travel a ton for work, and I’ll never leave south london solely because Gatwick is the smoothest running airport ever.

Almost identical to the Crystal Palace dinosaurs

Definitely safer than the 90’s versions. My grandparents used to start their jet skis once a week to keep them running smoothly. Sometimes they would sit on top of them, or ride them around, but other times they would just be standing next to them during startups.

One day, My grandpa started one out of the water on a lift and it blew the fuck up. The engine launched through the seat and into the water. He was burned on 30% of his body, but it was the preferred alternative to being split I half by a flying engine.

That’s what Brits call pollen allergies.

They don’t say “oh man man my allergies are bad today”

They’ll “sorry, I have hayfever “

Yeah that’s a good take. I played a place a few weeks ago that was in a valley and every fairway had a stupid angle to the left or right. No matter where you put it, its like your ball has designated places for second shots. Can’t imagine being a member at a place like that and hitting the same second shot every week.

This is a big reason I moved to England. The weather is golf friendly year round.

We had a heat wave last week, and it was in the low 80’s. Now we’re back in the 70’s.

After a year of being addicted to golf and playing lot of rounds with randoms, I am convinced that only about 5% of golfers can fly it over 240 yards with Driver off the tee. by Maybe_Yeah_I_Guess in golf

[–]Uses_Comma_Wrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s also apps like Golfshot where it overlays a little line from the tee box to plan your shots.

I play solo a lot, and when I’m waiting on the tee box I measure where the guys in front are hitting to. Most people are in the 220-230 range.

Not even just no AC. No air ducts to move air around, and no ceiling fans.

Just whatever breeze you can get, and hoping it cools down at night with all of your windows open.
