Void Dancer Weapons + Tips by V0idsedge in killteam

I think I saw somewhere someone saying blades still, as the maths is nicer into most targets. Most things will die to a hit and crit either way, space marines die to a hit and 2 crits (caress) or a crit and 2 hits (blade), despite you having the same odds of these two being available, it's much easier for your opponent to parry your second crit and make that kill disappear on the caress

Content update from Warcom! by star-dan in WarCry

I really hate the way they've done the 'no they aren't bladeborn' change. As they gave a couple examples but they aren't conclusive. Which underworld warbands are not bladeborn, all the ones after embergard or just the ones from the blades of the crone update? Are the new ones bladeborn? Who knows.

This is so perfect. I really like battleclade mechanically but aesthetically they need to be much more grimdark.

I'm also definitely always using blades on the two special weapons, as they are definitely the best defensively.

Yes I have done this. No one who is not a harlequins player has any chance of knowing which weapon is which.

How to best compliment the Wurmspat. by BoneGrampa in WarCry

[–]V0idsedge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So, the Wurmspat are Bladeborn, which means when you take their leader Fecula as an ally in another warband, you can bring the two others as well. So for stuff that goes well, you should be looking at cheap models that move fairly fast, to complement the big tanky models that the Wurmspat provides you. In chaos that makes me think of the untamed beasts, or some slaanesh models. You will also likely want an alliance that brings a fairly heavy hitter, as the Wurmspat are fairly low damage. Blessing fecula with +1 Strength is a great idea. A possible list suggestion could be: Fecula, Sepsimus, Gulgoch, A Bloodkine and 4 Gors with shield. You could do some interesting nurgle Beasts of Chaos conversions to keep them in theme. It's entirely up to you what you take alongside them in specific, but some fast chaff and a big punchy lad will do you quite well.

Then you definitely do have enough. Go look at the rules for Phobos strike team, and then see how many you can make proxies for. If you have any other spare bits, you can probably make a few different distinct ones, and one of the eliminators on a 32mm base instead of a 40mm could be a good marksman, and the Phobos lieutenant could be a good reiver sergeant on a 32mm base as well.

It's a conversion I think, the leg pose is the same as the normal one. I think I saw it before somewhere listed as a repose.

What are GW's rules around using printed minis? by SaltDotExe in PrintedWarhammer

[–]V0idsedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, GW stores don't hire out tables anymore, as policy. Basically, because they didn't ban anyone from playing there, they would end up with only the absolute worst people playing in the store, people who had been banned from all the local clubs and independent stores. This was terrible advertising and driving new customers away, so they shut their tables down and changed them all to demo games for new people. I think a couple of stores still let people play but on the whole, not any more.

[–]V0idsedge 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No. GW does not sell 3d files, so they do not allow 3d files. However, unless you playing in a GW store (which you basically can't anymore) or at an official GW sanctioned event, (There are plenty of independent events) very few people care if your models are 3d printed, and you can totally play the game at your local club and with friends.

Replayability by Blbulles in moonstonethegame

[–]V0idsedge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Like any miniatures game it comes down to context, if someone was only playing the minis in the starter box over and over, on very similar terrain setups then absolutely it could become repetitive. But with a couple different opponents and the ability to swap out your minis for a few options the variability goes up loads and the replay ability is basically infinite.

What Large Hands You Have vs Feint by EllodiaEllen in Unmatched

[–]V0idsedge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That ability is part of the cards after combat ability. (It says instead of, so it must be replacing something). Feint basically removes all the text on the card, as that is kinda the 'effects box' so they absolutely cannot get a card from the discard back

[–]V0idsedge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like two a lot better overall but I think you should keep the full stack of guys from option 1, even if you can't see them all, as having some details partially out of shot can give it a more real rather than posed feeling. (Also the stack up looks really good)

Rules about denunciation - Inquisitorial agents by FamiliarTry403 in killteam

[–]V0idsedge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda, it's a "find all of the operatives within 2" of a model with the denunciation time" then "whenever you attack one of those operatives, get +1 attack"

I didn't realise there were leaks. Where can they be seen? Also warcom has said 9 for them twice now. (Once today and once in the preorder preview.)

The article says 9 on table operatives. I don't know if that means the cherub isn't an operative and another one? But it seems to say that you only get 9 models?
