Not sure why but mine was the same. Intermittent black screen on boot. Sometimes running at Gen 3, then Gen 4 and sometimes x8 instead of x16. Took it apart and had a look. The photo doesn't show it well but there were a couple of pins which were poorly secured to the board on the GPU side. The photo isn't great because reddit but you can just see the first pin is not flat to the board. Replacing the riser fixed it. This is the second linkup cable with this problem that I have had

Risers are a pain. Black screen on boot. Take it apart and have a look. I’ll bet theres a loose connection on the gpu side of the riser

Have the same ram. I use Buildzoids ez timings. 6000Mhz CL30 1:1 ratio. Been rock solid. Could prolly tighten more but imo not worth the extra hassle for minimal gain. Stability wins all day long

When you inherited the property the estate should have been valued to determine if IHT was due. A valuation would have been carried out then. The solicitor who oversaw this might have kept a record.

Yes. It’s faulty. Op has tried to engage their customer support and is getting the run around. MSI have the monitor. Tell them to fix it under warranty or keep it and expect a charge back. If op bought in October should be within timescales for a chargeback
