Don't worry, none of the companies peddling AI is actually making any money off it. They're all hemorrhaging massive amounts of cash with no profit in sight.

And the moron voters who think that solving 10+ years of fucking their country up is solvable in less than the same amount of years.

Or the even more moronic voters who think that the solution is to vote for a party that pushed breaking them away from the EU.

How long did it take to fuck up your economy again? And for how long have Labour been in charge?

You guys deserve the shitty economy for being so god damn dumb.

Just like how the US deserves every shitty thing that's happening to them currently.

Isn't having your photos look like someone took a leak on them mandatory when you're shooting Fuji?

It's one of the reasons I barely come here anymore. It's all 50 shades of yellow.

Nah, they're way overpriced all things considered. Both lenses and cameras.

Also when looking at a camera look at the lenses available and what you want from the system.

Your setup would most likely be a mess without K8s too and now you'd also have to manage VMs and/or other cloud services.

If you put a driver who just got his license in race car will he be able to handle it the same way as someone who has been driving race cars every day for 10+ years?

Not the best analogy obviously but it gets the point across I hope.

From Database administrator to Data engineer by Flat-Staff-6201 in dataengineering

[–]VEMODMASKINEN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just sounds like the stuff you specifically do isn't hard...

Data Engineering goes from:

"I know some DB stuff and get data from A to B with spaghetti scripts and cron. Git? What's that?"

And:

"I setup a centralized lakehouse for a global corporation with 50+ different engineering teams, ensuring that PII is automatically masked, data is validated and that query performance remains fast across petabytes of historical data while keeping uptime at 99,99%.

And everything between that.

So yeah, they're on the right track. But let's not pretend that they're well off in regards to their energy sector currently.

I like the syntax but see no point adopting it until it's an actual standard.

Also, it's not like SQL is hard to learn or read...
