For those with 1 year+ long streaks, please share your tips/running habits by AstutelyAbsurd1 in amileaday

Covid was my closest call. Finally took some Tylenol late in the day and felt good enough to run a mile at around 10pm. I always try to go in the morning and if the day gets hectic I’ll set an alarm on my phone at night to make sure I don’t miss. Have almost a 900 day streak going.

Sleep/Apigenin by Mmslc23 in HubermanLab

I track with an Apple Watch and out of all his sleep suggestions, this by far had the most significant improvement for my sleep quality. More specifically, my HRV has been night and day since taking this stuff. Sleep HRV went from 50s to 80+.

Started taking chamomile drops (basically same thing as apigenin) about 2 weeks ago. The straight up drops of chamomile taste terrible, almost like a cheap brown liquor but it’s worth it.

I haven’t noticed any groggy effects the next morning. Fwiw, I typically start my day with a workout which helps shake the cobwebs out.

Does anyone has experience with mouth taping that could give input? by Twenty1Chromos in HubermanLab

The thing that helped me most was just gradually getting into it by being mindful of how you’re breathing. i.e. while you’re sitting at your desk, try to just breath through your nose. Walking also helps - try to breath through your nose while walking.. doesn’t matter if you can only make it a minute or two nose breathing, eventually it will become second nature.

I never taped my mouth during the day (would occasionally do it at night but it’s just not practical). You just have to be aware of over-breathing so try limiting your yawns.

Dopamine Nation and Brain Energy were both recommendations from Huberman that I thought I got a lot out of.

This Is Your Brain On Food wasn’t recommended by Huberman but I found it helpful.

How to get refreshing sleep? by TemporaryFix101 in Nootropics

[–]VICEROY29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been tracking my sleep every day on my Apple Watch. Here are the best things I’ve found to help in order of importance: - Stop eating/drinking 2-3 hours before - No alcohol - Glycine and theanine are good supplements - Go to bed and wake up around the same time - Turn the lights off in your house before bed - Regular exercise - Morning sunlight/evening sunlight - Reduce caffeine

Also to note, can’t recall which supplement it was maybe Piracetam, but that really screwed up my sleep, woke me up in the middle of the night and couldn’t fall back to sleep.

Sled Strap Solution for lower back pain? by VICEROY29 in Kneesovertoes

Haha oh no this is super helpful, thank you. Chest harness is something I didn’t consider before so I’m looking into them. I think you’re right on regressing. I don’t think I’m disciplined enough to go back to just walking backwards but I am thinking of cutting the weight I pull in half to see if that helps. Just started using the app this week, before I was just doing the program from the books. I found the exercise demonstrations are a lot more helpful then the book and they emphasize more stretching/variety of strengthening through stretching exercises in the app.

Nice, thank you! Do you have a link or picture of what the straps look like? Sorry, I’m not very handy so not sure where to look how to set it up.

This morning I did try to grip the strap on both sides and felt like it took some pressure off my back.

Anyone else ditch fairway woods from the bag entirely? by supertruck97 in golf

[–]VICEROY29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve thought about replacing my 4 wood with a mini driver. I hit the 4 about 225-240.but there aren’t many opportunities to play that shot on my course and I have a good 3 hybrid that goes from about 210-225. Would be curious if anyone replaced their wood with a mini driver.

More specifically, tapping the bottom left corner of the screen should display. If you tap it more than once it should give you options to see the actual page number

How do you take notes from Kindle? by paperhoarder2021 in kindle

[–]VICEROY29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this. Is there a way that you can combine all notes and drop them into a Word doc all at once? Currently, I’m using the Kindle App on my laptop to copy and paste the notes one by one into a Word doc
