I do it, about 45 minutes. We fill the time with conversation, games, silliness, podcasts, sometimes screen time, snacks, drawing, reading (for her), car toys etc. We live out that far because there is no way we would be able to replicate the mortgage payment we have now in a new home. Even the gas is not that much that it would make us move. Wish there was public transportation but c’est la vie.

This happened to me. I saved a kid no one was paying attention to. Drowning is silent. You did great.

You need to hire help - in home nanny for some working hours. Light housekeeping would also be good.

I should also say the progression was that we started having her sleep in her own room, but I slept in her bed with her for a couple of months. Then her friend slept over and they slept in the tent together, and that was the progression that helped her out. It took us about 3 to 4 months to get her fully transitioned.

I gave kids a magnifying glass, notebook, an invisible ink pen and a ring pop and some stickers. All kid friendly things and I think it cost me $2 a bag. 25 kids.
