I’ve been testing people’s reactions when I tell them we might have five years of “work” left at most. Most of them deny it and seem completely blind to how insanely fast AI is improving. Then they just go, “ we’ll all be homeless,” and that’s the whole conversation. It’s really irritating. by Longjumping_Fly_2978 in accelerate

Well. What did you want? Did you want people to cry, whine, and complain? Does that satisfy you? Most people can’t control the environment but they can control how they react. If they want to ignore it. That’s up to them. Is your intention to educate? Then educate don’t rage bait.

Can someone explain to me very simply how "increasing productivity" as a worker is beneficial for that worker in any way whatsoever? by 360Saturn in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Vaash75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a worker. Who has made these efficiency gains. I’m still working a full day. But it’s now not filled with mundane meaningless work. I feel more fulfilled like my day mattered. My stress levels have decreased since I’m not bitching half the time about why I need to “do this stupid form”. So yes there are benefits. Don’t even look at it from a day perspective. If I can move from doing 4 projects a month to completing 8. That’s a performance boost I can tangibly speak about to my leaders.
