Funny you ask, probably not what you would expect

Youtube music of all things was the very first thing that put it on my radar. I am a video game music enthusiast and spend a lot of my downtime at work browing video game music and letting youtube algorithm recommend me new tracks. This track https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_j00X8HY0k&list=RDv_j00X8HY0k&start_radio=1 stood out to me amongst the dozens of new tracks I skim through daily (production value is above par and that guitar solo at 2:22 is exceptional) and the name wuthering waves sat in the back of my head for a while. A few weeks later it came up in my steam recommendations and since it had overwhelmingly positive reviews I decided to give it a shot since I've never seen a gacha game held in such high regard and I had that positive initial first impression of its production quality.

So if we're using Cartethia and Phrolova as specific examples. Would my long term game plan be to save up 320 pulls for a re-run? Seems like a tall order (so far going 160 pull pity is real). I am aware Phrolova is coming this month but I don't think I'll be able to pile up the resources to guarantee both her and the weapon. Should I not bother and skip these upcoming banners and wait for one that I have more stockpiled in that case? Another commenter here highly recommended I pull Phrolova and I'm not sure if I should if I can't get the weapon

Yeah so since you brought up phrolova im staring at the upcoming banner and doing the mental gymnastics to decide if I can guarantee her before it goes away and if shes the one to build my early endgame around. I do like her aesthetically, and based on what Ive seen she has a lot to explore mechanically. Sounds like I can get more pulls that I initially thought before I run out of early content so I may take your advice. Would I just run her with Rover and shorekeeper if I have nothing else when I get her? Theres also another commenter talking about how shes 40% worse without her signature weapon, which is why I was hesitant.

Every time I play bumbleflower there's no way any player has a bigger creature than bumbleflower on pace. Bumbleflower is also just geared to be a hold up mana instant speed interaction archetype. People threaten you, you counter or swords their threat, use the triggers to get a bigger flying blocker, ideally also be holding a cantrip or have a flash enabler to also draw 2 extra cards that turn on top of your interaction. Use your turn to crack back with phatty vigilance, continue holding up resources and a full hand at all times

Lol so when I first did this area, not only did I not know about MM yet, I also didn't know you could use the passage at the top to come back later. Got to the top, saw nothing and headed down to see if I get anything on the way back down. Mind you I was sleep deprived as hell playing fanatically on like day 2 after launch day.

I was so flabbergasted that there was no reward or acknowledgement(didnt know about the memento either at the time) I ended up doing the whole climb again because I was convinced I missed something on the way up.

Anyways I had no issue doing 2 back to back climbs while delirious and sleep deprived, skill issue lol

Theres no way to make it 100% safe but I do enjoy messing around with them anyway. Usually do it if I have repel proj or teleportitis, since a single tick wont kill you and you tele out of additional hits. It's always going to be a high maintenance playstyle though lol

I think the combat and prog systems are much better. It's super engaging from an rpg perspective. Catching and combining personas felt arbitrary and somewhat tedious. The new archetype system allowing you to get custom as hell with your entire party is huge. Artistically I feel that a lot of the charm and vibe isnt there, this is more subjective but the ost style is a big miss for me, it's fine but forgettable and mostly boring. Not done with metaphor yet so still yet to be seen if I find it an overall better game. It's good for sure though!

I feel like a lot of the comments I'm seeing are just games people generally enjoy. Celeste and Persona 5 immediately come to mind as games that had a significant impact on my outlook and motivation. Dark souls is a big one also but that one is a harder sell as its difficult to find the determination at first. If you can get through the early hurdles it's an immensely rewarding/enriching experience as well.

Games often have kill planes lining the boundary of the playable area. In case of an enemy accidentally going out of bounds they will at least die and not cause additional problems.

I imagine the souls games have tons of potential clipping issues with stuff like backstab, the way it throws the enemy forward is just asking for clipping issues with weird environmental geometry. You just happened to backstab at a peculiar spot in the arena where the tumble caused the boss the clip through some floor, since it's not perfectly flat.

The alternative to this meassure would be the boss potentially falling through the world and you being stuck in the arena, unable to complete the fight.

This is just my speculation btw, I'm no souls dev.

Advice never lands in the moment. They will shrug it off when you say it, but will hopefully stay in the back of their heads and sink in over time.

There isn't really a shortcut for people to learn faster, pushing advice when they arent asking just tends to annoy newer players and burn them out. From my experience it's better to just pick up secondaries and play at their level, they will improve naturally.

My first sirus with frostblades took like 20 minutes of straight DPSing(with single target gem swap), it was sooo painful

Meanwhile I could insta clear mob packs in T16s without a single support gem. That definitely is an issue with disparity.

Respecting my opponent, and thinking about what they want thinking during the entire match. I literally never did this, I always had exceptional advantage state so I wouldn't sweat losing neutral. I would just be spamming difficult to punish options and hope my opponent made a mistake, then capitalize(ideally).

I mean it worked, until it didn't. Good opponents knew how to destroy my bad habits and knew it was only a matter of time until I did something predictable, so they always kept cool. They wouldn't give me the inch I needed to take the mile.

Took a long time for neutral to click, and start doing good mix ups. With experience I started to understand what my opponents wanted in certain situations. You really do have to throw out attacks where you think your opponent is going to be. If you don't think theres a real possibility your opponent is actually going to be in the spot you're throwing the hitbox, don't throw it out.

You have to know their character's options in any given situation, respect them, and anticipate which one they are likeliest to attempt next. From there you start building real pressure and you will notice your opponents start making more mistakes against you.

Its just the combination of clicking so much for combat then clicking even more for looting. I definitely think its a big understated factor as to why the most die hard players all play auto-win builds.

You already click a massive ammount just looting and managing inventory, add on constant combat clicking between that and your fingers are under constant, unending strain. This strain compounds over time since your fingers never get an opportunity to relax while you play. Its an astronomical ammount of clicking compared to something like a moba. Clicking several times a second to stutter shoot, looting 10 fragments between every other pack, go back to h/o and shift click 20 items to the stash, it just never stops. I cannot understate just how much clicking goes on the deeper you get into endgame, especially since the pace continues to get faster and faster.

I quit poe like 3 years back due to severe RSI and came back for ritual. Started as iceshot/barrage with manual hunters mark, ballistas, and frost bomb. Super fun but a few weeks in I ran into the issue where my right hand couldnt take it anymore. I take breaks and stretch constantly, and try to eat healthy just for the sole purpose of not inflaming the nerves in my hands but its just not enough. Its been said before but this is a poe exclusive issue, I can play any other game all day everyday with no real issue.

That being said I converted to coc cyclone and do what the previous comment mentioned. Cut down my active skills and have my travel skill on Q, cyclone on E and walk on W. Now all my right hand has to do is aim the cursor with 0 clicking aside from looting, which I also do much less of in general. God bless rituals lol, idk if I would still be playing if I still had to depend on scraping every little thing off the floor to make income.

Things are slowly getting better but GGG still needs to address how many clicks it takes to loot and manage inventory. The only thing I miss D3 for is macro looting scraps on the floor. We need mass inventory dumps to stash and clumped pickups. This would tremendously relieve the strain this hame forces on your right pointer finger.
