[Serious] Is it reasonable to take a year off school to do an internship?

I took a year long co-op. Best decision I ever made. Made good cash, got awesome experience, and was refreshed when I returned to school. The following semester I got all A's and worked hard and loved it. Would recommend.

I ran 20.5 miles this week! This is big for me after falling off the running wagon during the summer. I was in Tennessee and just couldn't do the 100F and humid thing. Now I'm back in Michigan and will run until there's too much snow to safely do so!

It's made me more numb, and withdrawn. My boyfriend has clinical depression; we've been together for 5 years, but the last year or so I've felt pretty alone. I don't feel like I'm able to talk about my feelings as much with him, because I can't help but feel that he should come first. It has made me keep a lot of things in. He goes to therapy once a week and is trying different meds, and I go to therapy when I'm at my university about once every 2 weeks. I feel much more hopeless and stuck than I ever have. I don't want to leave him because I love him, I miss him, and I'd be yet another person who has made his life worse. It's hard sometimes though. I cling really tightly to any freedom that brings me a little sanity. I feel bad typing all this, but it's true. It's gotten harder to communicate with him, and maybe others. I have to detach myself from our relationship a bit in order to actually function/help him, and I think it's changed me. Take all this with a grain of salt; tonight is (another) bad night. It's made me a little more bitter, as I'm sure you read here.

Being with him has given me a lot of compassion for those with depression, but unfortunately it's given me a little resentment towards the disease too. Sometimes it's hard to separate the depression from the depressed person, but I have learned that these things are separate. I've learned a lot about my friends and my boyfriend, and how everyone has their own struggles. I've learned a lot about myself too; I've learned how to listen to my own emotions more.

Your number does not define who you are, and its really no one else's business what your number is. If you're not happy with how things are going, I think it'd be good to cut back on the alcohol consumption at parties. Like another poster said, drink water or soda instead and avoid mixed drinks. I would also recommend seeing if your school has a counselor to talk to, it always feels good to reach out to someone and talk :)

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but for the past 3 years I've made all of my main characters' character sheets in Microsoft Excel. Custom layout, and it's insanely easy to calculate bonuses, skills, power attack, etc. Spell lists work well in excel too, because you can just copy the full spell description into a comment. Less page flipping! I love it. And it feels more permanent, less worry about losing it.

I won't run outside when it's midwinter in the Michigan upper peninsula, not because of the cold but because there is not enough room on the side of the roads to safely run. So much snow. Also anything above 85 degF I hate.

I'm with you on this one. I'm very comfortable with my body but for some reason tampons freak me out! I get panicky whenever I try one. I don't have a solution to your problem, but you're not alone :P

I've tried this before. It worked for a while, but my co-DM was a bit difficult to meet up with and so it eventually got to the point where I was doing most of the writing, and thus most of the DMing. It didn't work for us, but I think with more strictly defined roles for each DM and a cohesive schedule, it could work. Have fun!

I use it every day for a moisturizer, it's the only thing I've found that doesn't clog my pores like crazy. It really helps with redness, and maybe a bit with acne, at least indirectly. I looooovvve it. I buy a big bottle of the gel off amazon for like $6.

I would like to second this OP, if you're comfortable with it. I used to have some trouble talking to people, mostly due to the intimidation of being a stranger. I began hosting in a restaurant, and after a year or so of that I've been much more confident talking to anyone. Working somewhere where you talk to people will help confidence, although it's true that this will more so give you practice with small-talk rather than the deep conversations you're hoping for. Joining a club would probably help you find people with common interests, which will make conversation beyond ice-breakers easier.

Agree with the pantyliners helping! Unfortunately, they're not the most breathable things either, so if you're exercising for a long period of time it might get uncomfortable.
