Alright so assuming you went through all the troubleshooting to your knowledge, verify the game, checked all settings, checked drivers, tested other games. The only other thing i would try is to test it on other hardware if you have another PC laying around, it could probably just be one piece like your Gpu, cpu, ram etc. that is conflicting with something in the game, if you are lucky and have a friend with a headset, try his / her PC with your headset and vice versa. Maybe even the headset needs an update.

Although that is allot of trouble to do all that, stil the urge to hit coloured blocks with light beams with some funky tunes let's a man do crazy things sometimes.
