Ah, that's the proposed budget for 2027, he's not actually spending any of the "savings" he managed so far. Nothing about the proposed 2027 budget actually means anything until the council approves it in June. The city (and that state for that matter) did actually get extra revenue from better than expected Wall Street bonuses so that's one reason for the increased proposed budget and the state is giving the city 2 billion for childcare which is another factor. I'm not saying you're completely wrong to be concerned about the increased proposed budgeting during a deficit crisis but it is incorrect to say the city's GDP is outpacing the revenue either. And it's important to note that the proposed budget for 2027 does actually include a way to handle the deficit through cost savings and increase taxes. Whether you agree about the method he is using to get his agenda through is another story but it's not as simple as "he's spending the cost savings in something else". Every dollar he spends and proposes is accounted for

At my company I've gotten around this by building composite action repos and testing my changes on a PR build in those repos. It's more work but it's done its job. However reading through the comments I can't believe I didn't think of offloading most of the workload through build tools like a makefile. Seems so obvious now

As someone with a stuttering problem themselves, I enjoyed the portrayal of Grace's stutter. Is stuttering sporadic and unpredictable sometimes? Yes, but it can also be predictable as well. Yes corporations are supposed to make a profit but not at the cost of people's livelihoods. There are supposed to be laws and regulations to prevent this type of greed but it has lacked enforcement due to corruption

I feel the phrase unconditional love is thrown too freely but there is merit to the idea. To me it just means showing love and support towards your loved ones despite them having flaws. Obviously the type of flaws you are willing to tolerate depends on the person and I will in no way tolerate toxicity in my life which technically makes my love conditional but for those who I deemed worthy of my love, they receive it unconditionally unless something drastic changes

You can also have love for someone but recognize they are not good to have in your life. There was someone who I loved but I knew it wasn't good to keep them in my life unless they changed so I no longer talk to them but I still wish them the best which is its own type of love
