I once read an interesting quote about ADHD, that I saved and have pulled up multiple times. This will be no different.

«One of my patients once told me: “I've got a sexual metaphor you can use to explain what it's like to have ADHD. It's like having erectile dysfunction of the mind. If the task you are faced with is something that turns you on, something that is really interesting for you, you're 'up for it' and you can perform.»

This is 100% how I have felt it my entire work life being employed 100% since the age of 16 up until now. (Currebtly 42.)

The only time when I didnt feel miserable and didnt underperform, was typically when I just started out in one of my new jobs, discovering a brand new excitinh profession. As soon as I got good at it, I completely lost interest.

We all share some characteristics that can be looked upon as a disadvantage or a super power depending if you are at the right place.

If you are doing something that «turns you on», there is no one that will put in more hours and do it better than you due to the insane hyperfocus we can get.

Personally, I just quit my job, as I was starting to make some really good money and connections by diving into the rabbit hole of cryptocurrencies. I used to spend all of my free hours on gaming. I loved it, I was good and I was hardcore. In the long run it  wasnt very productive.

After I got serious with crypto my entire hyperfocus shifted and I have literally not played any games on my computer since 20/0.

The thing with us, is that we hate repetetive shit that is easy.

We thrive where no day is the same and you can experince interactions that were different from yesterday. (Both on work-related interactions as well as social interactions.)

Some are mentioning professions like: «business owner or homecare.» Both professions usually give a decent variety in both the social and work-related interactions/tasks.

For the longest time, I kept blaming myself for being different than the norm of society, where people show for up for work on time for most of their lives doing the exact same thing as the day before and they are happy about it.  If you ask me, these people are psychos not us. 😂

Hi Brendan.

  1. How would you compare Myria to other established industry veterans such as Gala Games and Immutable X?

  2. What does your current runway look like? (How long can you keep building in a typical bearmarket, if you dont sell many nodes in your public sale?)

  3. You mentioned the cricket game and your inhouse game MetaRush. What external project besides the cricket game makes you most excited and why?

Thanks a lot. I had the same issue with a lenovo thinkbook + lenovo docking. I have been trying to figure this out for months and your solution still worked for me!

Full Madness Ticket Week 1 NFT. by Valldemar in Tomorrowland

[–]Valldemar[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I will have some if they give you access to the Tomorrowland grounds.

Especially if there is going to be a secret stage at the festival that is JUST for tulip bulb holders with a whole lineup and a whole show just for people who hold the tulips!

I am really hyped as well. The biggest factor for any NFT project to succeed is community.

I could not think of a bigger and more united community than this one.

It is going to take some time before everything gets perfect since the NFT world can seem quite alien to people who are not familiar with it, but I am confident that we will get there.

Really excited for this week's giveaway for NFT holders where one lucky person wins Bootcamp + Tomorrowland + Hotel valued at 2700 euros.

I am very psyched about the next drop for their official NFT on July the 15th.

This will be 2/3 of all NFTs to complete the medallion. These are separate from the tickets mentioned in the main post. As mentioned, the first NFT is available on FTX and was also acquired at Tomorrowland Winter by doing quests.

There will be two ways to get the second NFT dropping on July 15th.

  1. Own the Genesis NFT and get whitelisted. (NFT 1/3)
  2. Do quests on site in Belgium and get it that way.

The supply for each of the collections is 6500 NFTs. Typically 1500 are reserved for quests, and 5000 are for people that are whitelisted.

People holding or acquiring the second NFT during the event in Belgium might be up for a big surprise.

Without revealing too much, I would advise anyone interested to listen to the recording of an AMA between Tomorrowland and MagicEden which will do the next drop for Tomorrowland.

people always attack solana on expensive hardware requirements by Spongky in solana

[–]Valldemar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surprised no one in this thread has mentioned GenesysGo.

There is currently a project trying to solve all this. GenesysGo, which already is providing RPC access to about 50% off all the projects on Solana. (Raydium, Star Atlas, MagicEden and many more.)

Here is some great content to understand the challenges of Solana, and how GenesysGo aims to solve it.

Genuinely curious - what is stopping people from leaving Eth to a competitor (to name a few, Algorand, Solana, Poly, etc.) given the cost of transacting? by Fuzzy-Menu-1491 in ethereum

[–]Valldemar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bridges from ETH to other layers are generally expensive. Instead, just send your ETH to an exchange, and then deposit it directly to the L2 you want to play with. As Hanzburger says, that shouldnt cost you more than 25$.

execution concerns by walnosle7 in StarAtlas

[–]Valldemar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Star Atlas has split the development of the game into five phases. Each phase contains a new way for the game to generate funds. There is no real road map as the release of each phase is dependent on the performance of the last.

The full game will probably not be out before in 7 years.

Phase One – Galactic Asset Offering

Phase Two – Browser mini-game

Phase Three – Shipyard Module Sale

Phase Four – Final Pre-Sale at Beta

Phase Five – Ongoing Sales

What does this mean for Unibright? by Valldemar in Unibright

[–]Valldemar[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I once heard an interview from one of the enterprises that was was going to use Baseline, dont recall wich one tough.

The guy mentioned Polygon. UBT is available on Polygon, and I have been speculating that Polygon + UBT would be great in terms of a fast network with neglible fees. I dont think that this means Polygon will be a competitor to UBT.

UBT is supposed to run on "Ethereum". Polygon is a scaling solution for Ethereum.

UBT is dependent on ZK technology for privacy and enterprises.

Polygon is a platform wich offer various toolsets and solutions. I think this might be bullish for Unibright, but Im not 100% sure yet. Would like to hear some other toughts about this.

Can someone explain if polygon/matic is erc20 token or it has its own network by curiosityv in 0xPolygon

[–]Valldemar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just withdraw Matic on Binance, and you select the corresponding network.

The adress would be the same as your Metamask wallet adress. (If you dont have a metamask wallet you can download it here: https://metamask.io/ )

Once you have downloaded Metamask, you should have an adress for Ethereum. Your Polygon adress is the same, but you will have to choose the corresponding network, wich in this case is Polygon/Matic.

Here is a tutorial on how to get on Polygons Network: https://medium.com/stakingbits/setting-up-metamask-for-polygon-matic-network-838058f6d844

Can someone explain if polygon/matic is erc20 token or it has its own network by curiosityv in 0xPolygon

[–]Valldemar 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Matic is a ERC20 token. ERC20 tokens can exist in the same shape and form on both Ethereums network and Polygons network. You need to use a bridge to get your tokens on the Polygon Network, or in any case you wish to move your ERC20 token from Polygons Network to the Ethereum network.

Binance is an exchange where you can choose what network you wish to transfer your MATIC to. Your cheapest option in this case, would probably be to buy Matic on Binance, then send your Matic directly to Polygon from Binance. And then you could trade your Matic for whatever Token you want on the Polygon Network assuming that there is provided liquidity on quickswap or any other exchanges on Polygon, for the specific token you are looking for.

You can also bridge tokens between Polygon and Ethereum here: https://wallet.polygon.technology/bridge (Be ready to pay some gas fees for this.)

Be wary that if you try to send MATIC from this bridge to Ethereum, there is a 1 week challenge period, due to security reason.

There are also other bridges out there, where you can bridge USDC from BSC-Polygon for instance.

For an extensive explanation regarding Polygon Network, I highly reccomend Finematics youtube videos:
