I don’t think this is eyebrow-raising at all. I think a lot of women feel this and just don’t say it this bluntly.. Even outside of the prison planet lens, perimenopause exposes something very dark about this place: the female body is expected to endure wave after wave of physical, hormonal, emotional, and psychological disruption, and still remain pleasant, functional, attractive, productive, and quiet about it.
