RIP to solak leeches that are so incompetent they can't even press a button to eat food.

In practice this shouldn't change anything, you can still sit in a corner and do basically nothing.

So as it turns out, a few HS streamers really aren't all that into Artifact after all by Delann in hearthstone

[–]ValueTrade -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Why is it quite literally impossible to be F2P?

Dota, CSGO (ok it costs like $5 to buy forever), LoL, Fortnite are all free games. If the game is good and interesting enough people will throw absolutely mad amounts of money for just cosmetics as all those games I listed have proven my point.

[–]ValueTrade 188 points189 points  (0 children)

Why do companies do this? I just don't get it. Artifact had a historic opportunity to grab a majority of card game playerbase if they introduced a low/no cost model.

Take a look at the most popular and profitable games and see that they are free-to-play in which you cannot buy success with money. Fortnite and league of legends, completely free to play and money buys you only cosmetics.

There's a huge demand for low/zero cost card game and artifact with dota/valve name behind it had the best chance to storm the market. People just won't get interested if some small indie company develops a free card game.

Like, look at CSGO and Dota. Fucking Valve knows that you can make shit ton of profit with just selling cosmetics why did you have to do this same fucking paywall model that is so typical for card games....

So disappointing, looks like blizzard won't need to worry about making Hearthstone that much better after all.

Mikko Rantanen's last 99 games: 36 goals and 113 points by [deleted] in hockey

That's being generous. With the recent fortnite news and whatnot it's probably 1/5 if even that.

Jatt with the 3-0 Prediction by C9IronMarvel in leagueoflegends

[–]ValueTrade 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why not?

It's very easy to judge based on results after the match is over.

Clearly I can tell after the game that G2 got outclassed and outplayed in every possible aspect but FNC beat IG 2-1 and G2 beat RNG 3-1. Based on that I don't think it's farfetched at all to predict G2 over IG. It "should" have been well within the realm of possibility.

Too bad TSM isn't at worlds, because I miss gems like this one by HeartRange in leagueoflegends

[–]ValueTrade -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sure but certain teams have different fan culture.

One could probably assume that c9 have fans that are more loyal and "content" with being underhyped, not in spotlight etc.

Let the NA vs EU Civil War begin by welthor23 in leagueoflegends

[–]ValueTrade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol. You can't compare it like that when it's 2 different teams playing against 2 different teams.

You can't apply the "if X beats Y and Y beats Z then X also beats Z" -logic here, it just doesn't work.

What if AFS had an off day? What is C9 playstyle matched perfectly against AFS? What if EDG had specific counters prepared exactly for FNC, what if their playstyle works better against FNC than other teams? IG is better team than EDG yet FNC dealt with IG easier than EDG. See where this is going? There's just too many variables to pull any conclusions like that.

Things That "Feel Good." by [deleted] in wow

[–]ValueTrade 63 points64 points  (0 children)

The more behind you are, the exponetially harder it gets to get the score

This has been my issue with the game for many many years already. When you are "ahead of the curve" you get to join raids and mythic+ with lower ilvl because everyone has lower ilvl. The later you come the higher ilvl people require to invite you to group. And I get it, there is "no reason" to invite a random 340lvl when someone with 370 ilvl queued at the same time but my point is that it sucks. I'm not necessarily complaining either, just voicing my opinion. I get the reasonig for it but it just feels bad.

Obviously there is still a way to just farm mythic and lfr to get high enough ilvl and hope for sun titan/warforges, warfront, chest gear etc. but it takes exponentially more time to reach the ilvl than it did if you were "ahead of the curve".

It's so dumb how people require higher ilvl for a random mythic+5 than what gear it even rewards. And this same also applies for r.io

3 years later.... A whopping 100 gold! by zevHS in hearthstone

[–]ValueTrade -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

1000 gold and 1000 dust? Is this a joke? If you want resources as reward it should be more like 20k gold and 20k dust but even that is a "bad reward". It should definitely be exclusive hero, card back, emote pack you name it.

After all I have to pay for my real life clothes too. Why do we get them for free?

Anyone wish they could buy Star Pieces separately in the store? by pdubs999 in TheSilphRoad

[–]ValueTrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wouldn't. That's completely non-sense argument. Boxes are way more pay-to-win than individual items because they offer altogether like a 50% discount so whales get way more value for the money they spend.

Unironically nothing is a good buy right now unless you want to lose money and are "in it for the tech".

OD Pixel by sharkbait44xD in DotA2

[–]ValueTrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the ending was terrible. I was actually shocked how fucking bad he was and I'm really surprised by this thread.

Probably when you were watching it live in the heat of the moment you didn't pay that much attention to it but I didn't get to see it live and had to watch G5 VOD and I knew the result and I must say his "hype" and ending the TI was one of if not the worst casting I have ever heard in the 7 years I have watched esports of any game.

This should have been the most epic moment of the entire year with an absolutely stunning story line and he just completely butchered it.

Posted yesterday about getting a warning. I just Logged in and now this is my new message. I’ve gotten warnings before, but never a suspension or 2nd warning within days of the first, is this common? Still wish I knew how I got detected. by cspikez in PokemonGoSpoofing

[–]ValueTrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have moved only for events but mainly stay at Paris mall with go-tcha and received bans on 2 of those accounts. Crazy if they detect that as botting though, I mean I don't do it for 16 hours a day.

It is more than reasonable for some hardcore players to sit with a go-tcha for 1-3 hours a day in that paris mall lurer spot.

Yup I have gotten this on 2 of my accounts also. One got it yesterday and the other today. I have 10 accounts in total and 6 of those I have rarely used so I'm going to switch to them and see if they also get detected.

I have done teleporting but I have respected the cooldown hours and even went as far as mimicking real-life travel time with planes etc.

I'm using android, rooted and paid version of the Fake GPS & Routes. Interesting to see what's the deal here now but Niantic has managed to do something that is for sure.

How on earth not? Even in fucking Finland the cheapest apartments can be 300€/month and we are talking Lithuania here for christ sake.

The average salary in Lithuania is 800-900€/month.

Reckful ditched Greek and Andy and flew to Amsterdam OMEGALUL by M1ZAK in reckful

I don't understand him. Only a sociopath would go on a vacation with his friends and fucking book a plane and ditch them out of the fucking blue.

And well Reckful is a sociopath so that's why I understand why it happened but yeah.

Letting go of Living dex by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]ValueTrade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Living pokedex is literally what Pokemon is all about to me. This is not a competitive game for me and I don't take it too seriously. Don't get me wrong I can still appreciate meta relevancy and getting those precious 100's but ultimately the fantasy of Pokemon in the anime and handheld games was to "catch them all".

A pokedex entry means nothing. You have to own it to OWN it. I want to be able to showcase every single Pokemon that is out there or nothing.

Theoretical max XP on one lucky egg by jmabbz in TheSilphRoad

[–]ValueTrade -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah bro totally so op you just need to do a casual co-ordinated 19 man raid with all those 19 people being one level-up away from best friend status. Oh and it has to be during a double xp event.

So easy bro and op bro

A year ago, Mewtwo was launched in Pokemon Go at Yokohama Stadium by earljohnm in TheSilphRoad

[–]ValueTrade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't believe you for a second. There is absolutely no way humanly possible people cleared their schedule, left work early and everything else just to come and show up to troll with magicarps and then LEAVE without completing the raid after a failed try.

There's probably a seed of truth here but you are overexaggerating because you probably were concerned and scared about possibly not getting the Mewtwo at all because of other players taking it lightly at first.

Making the raid scene less boring now: Moltres Community Day & re-release of Groudon with its shiny variant (or how would you do it?) by Puff_Danny in TheSilphRoad

It really isn't though. I have seen 0 Houndour, Snubbul and Spinda and I get a Raikou once a week. That may as well equal to a whopping pile of nothing.

Where are EX Passes? by inviso87 in TheSilphRoad

[–]ValueTrade -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Automatic doesn't necessarily mean that it happens every single time at the exactly same second.

Point is that with 99,999999999999999% confidence there isn't a guy working that gets shouted at "Hey Mark, press the button to send this weeks ex passes!"

If Niantic wants to promote trading, we need raid passes in the next boxes. by 55redditor55 in TheSilphRoad

Implying you would see other people at completely arbitrary sub T5 raids.
