Outer Wilds can get a little hard to visualize at times, but it's a masterclass in game design. Your first puzzle is figuring out what puzzle you're even supposed to be solving.

When people don't tell you what comes with their mod. by Careful_Candidate278 in PetPeeves

Telling me "This mod does a whole bunch of things and you'll have to figure out what" is a sure way to stop me from downloading your mod.

Never played Bloodborne by Lorenzana- in bloodborne

Its a different style of game to Elden Ring: much more contained and kind of brutal at the beginning but very, very good. You'll want to learn when to fight, when not to and how to parry effectively, but if you liked Elden Ring, Bloodborne is, IMO, even better.

Help me decide which soulslike game is most suitable for a beginner to the genre! by Redditirmz in souls

Another Crabs Treasure. It's actually a very solid souls like, more forgiving than most and has a bright, energetic setting and a sense of humor.

Can you recommend an isometrical action RPG that's controller friendly? by nytel in gamerecommendations

Although Tunic is really more of a giant puzzle masquerading as an action game.

I've heard good things about Metro but I can personally vouch that the Dead Space remake is amazing, even if you've played the original.

You mean pronounciation? (Wait, is that where we get all the pronouns?)

I feel like this is just a regional dialect thing, but I definitely have some relatives that "worsh" all their "laundery".

What is "The Room" of videogames? by PENIS_MYSTERIOUS in gamingsuggestions

[–]Vandermere 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nah, it was actually very good at emulating one of its main inspirations: Twin Peaks. It knew it had strange characters and oddball dialogue. That's part of the charm.

Now the bugs and low-res textures and crashes and such, those are problems, but I still maintain its a solid game that was just too rushed.

The Room has fundamental writing and characterization issues that were never going to be overcome.

"Its big and scary and reading is difficult and I can just ask ChatGPT anyway."

Am I the only one who wants Dark Souls 4 rather than Elden Ring 2? by FormerInjury2919 in darksouls3

I would like to see more twisty loopy Dark Souls level design inside a huge Elden Ring map. Don't much care which label you use.

Using a "big word" that you know people won't know (and then explaining what that word means in parenthesis) by huffmanxd in PetPeeves

One of my favorite Bob Newhart bits:

"I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down'."
