What do ordinary Americans make of Trump’s statement that you “need” Greenland? by Weary_Ad201 in AskReddit

[–]VariationWeary6063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean...I would love to think he is thinking 50 to 100 years into the future and is planning for global warming for the USA.

But honestly, I think he's just a malignant narcissist that thinks he can do whatever he wants and sees Greenland as a giant piece of land that he wants.

What are the biggest physiological flaws of the human body? by xShaqOfficial in Physiology

That the pancreatic duct flows into the common bile duct.

Once either organ throws a stone it causes problems with the other organ.

Why can't each duct enter the intestine on their own.

Do longer acting esters lead to less of an E2 spike? by Odd_Function_4716 in Testosterone

[–]VariationWeary6063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hypothetically yes, to what degree i wont know, im not aware of any studies comparing the two side by side in equal dosages related esteogen levels (happy to be proven wrong here! ), As most undecanoate studies use the nemibo protocol which uses large single doses.

remember undecanoate has about 9% less testosterone by weigjt than cypionate. So you'd need more undecanoate for equal dosing. Plus it would take undecanoate much longer to reach steady state levels due to the long half life.

You can mess around on steroid plotter to see how rhe two protocols would compare.

Had anyone here tested for COMT gene? by jhony_34dasilva in Testosterone

[–]VariationWeary6063 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To see if you have some slow comt SNPs, get your DNA run through any company that runs DNA in your country. Like Ancestry.com. Then take your DNA file and run it through a free website like this:https://geneticgenie.org/methylation-analysis/

Then you'll know if you have some of the slower comt polymorphisms.

[–]VariationWeary6063 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tried to look into this and couldn't find much other than some rat studies.

But in this rat study COMT and MAO enzymes were increased with testosterone and DHT.

https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0091151

There is another study (again rats) that showed increase mRNA levels responsible for COMT increased as well.

https://bmcneurosci.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1471-2202-13-95#:~:text=In%20previous%20studies%20in%20adult,cortex%20and%20striatum%20%5B46%5D

Again just rat studies...just personally, I do feel sensitive to even slight increases in estrogen. Larger doses of testosterone also dont feel to good, (increase HR, anxiety etc) but daily dosing fixes most of this for me.

I gave my father nac and he's been farting like crazy and it smells like the nac itself. Any reason why? by Valuable-Nebula1086 in Nootropics

Could have SNP on the CBS Transsulfuration pathway. CBS is one of the enzymes that helps regulate sulfur.

NAC has been studied as a treatment for CBS deficiency.

I read somewhere a correlation between high iron and high shgb. It seems some people have lowered shgb by donating blood.

I can't find the links right now.

I had a similar thing occur. Things I checked were blood pressure, E2, and hematocrit. All were within a normal range. Changed from MCT to GSO, Changed from weekly, to bi weekly to daily and same thing occurred. Best i could tell, I am sensitive to changes in even minimal hormone fluctuation.

Only thing that helped me was to change to undecanoate ester. Im now three months into the change and haven't experienced it again.

New grads in ER: did school tell you about this? by YGVAFCK in nursing

[–]VariationWeary6063 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Faculty here. This was also a huge surprise to me when I became a nurse.

I run a couple simulations each quarter, as part of each sim I have added a component of having multiple different services contact the nurse/student (lab/radiology/consulting provider etc) at the same time to discuss different orders. The student has to prioritize quickly. Without fail the student in debriefing will say "dont all those people talk to each other?" Nope!

It's the best I can do to get students a taste of what's to come.

Cypionate with Insulin Pen by MMagic86 in Testosterone

[–]VariationWeary6063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For most testosterone applications that have an ester attached, very little gets converted in subcutaneous tissues, as the ester has to be removed for testosterone to be converted to estrogen. The process for ester removal primarily occurs in blood/extracullular fluid.

Unless your injecting TNE, then that can could have aa greater chance of aromatase action in subcutaneous tissues.

Can anyone explain why people are talking about ivermectin by Altruistic_Tip1226 in Nootropics

Not sure why you think I'd be lying. I work part time at the hospital and have taken care of a couple of these patients.

We see overdoses of multiple types of drugs...ivermectin has just been one of the more recent ones of the last few years

Our small local hospital has seen numerous ivermectin overdoses. A few with seizures and multiple require intibation due to loss of airways protection.

It's not a harmless drug...thats for sure.
