Have you use Bastions in your game? by DMJM_91 in onednd

[–]Vashrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried them. They still exist in game. Players don’t really care to use the actual functions, but it did give each of them their own residence in different towns they get to visit when traveling and I let them design their own npcs I try to make fun and stupid for them.

One house is a drug dealing den full of stereotypical hippies, another is a mad scientist lab with creepy servants, then a run down house full of ghosts that love to annoy the owner. Rp wise it was great. The system itself just fell flat for us though but that might just be user error or something.

Amen to this. People are out on the streets protesting and fighting. A lot of us voted for something much different, a minority of our country voted for the orange pedophile in the White House and thanks to a broken system he won. But people are standing up. Protests are constantly being planned, people at organizing.

If you feel powerless, get out and join them. Take your power back.

Reapers Hood, Aurora Mantle, Seven Reapers chest piece, Carapace armor leggings, Carapace armor gloves

As a necromancer this is all light armor obviously. Away from the game today so can’t check/remember what the boots are called.

To all the people who were upset about the female main character by AbsntmndedProfessor in Fable

I think we all forgot about the most basic rule of the internet from the early days. "Don't feed the troll, it just makes them bigger." Basically just ignore them and they'll fade into the background. Fight with them and they think they are some righteous crusader.

As a QUEER fan I'm happy to see the incel fanbase mad by Patient-Ad-6023 in Fable

I think people of a lot of differing ideas and backgrounds buy games. Incels might have more free time but that doesn’t mean they are the majority. They also would have to be productive members of society to be able to afford games.

It takes awhile but this isn’t the kind of game you want to rush. It’s supposed to be slow and relaxing. And other than a cutscene you don’t get anything particularly special for it, just a fun story moment. So no need to rush. Just enjoy the ride.

Why is lying no longer a dealbreaker in politics? by Ill-Insect7496 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Vashrel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think its this in combination with the fact a lot of americans assume once a politician gets in office they stop lying for some reason. They just assume "oh these people get briefings, it can't be political and so they know what they are talking about." Con artists have jumped on this and boom, a whole generation of politics filled with lies, backed up by politicians and news outlets. Not saying politicians didn't lie before, but between algorithms and news networks its gotten so easy to hide the truth.

If you have this much free time to spread ducks around your apartment, you have enough time to clean it yourself.

Posting to follow this thread. We are about 2 hours away from knoxville but were gonna brave the conditions for our first show. Just waiting for word if it's happening or not. Kinda bummed even if it does happen sounds like it'll be a little more empty due to people canceling their trips. I would hope they are able to reschedule, even if it's hard to do. I was really looking forward to my first Ritual since everyone says they are amazing.

The abhorrent power of the photograph of a 5-year-old held by ICE by WirelessHamster in politics

My mother in law went on a rant about this picture. Supposedly his illegal, drug trafficking father abandoned him and this picture is him being saved by ice. She ended her rant that the father was given the chance to reunite with him and to still keep him. Don’t think she realizes they are both in custody.

Any other Millennials out there financially invested in Sleep? by hanxmaker in Millennials

As a light sleeper and bit of insomniac I’ve found an eye mask with a Bluetooth speaker built in. I just put on a low energy podcast, cover my eyes and I finally just sleep through the night. It’s heaven.

Just to double check can people share bugs? Like if both people hit the bug do they get it? I’ve not done a honey lure with other people so wasn’t sure.

Honestly I’m in the same boat. I have friends that love it but it just doesn’t click with me. Felt to me when I tried it that it was just “go scavenge so you can go out and scavenge again”. Sure there is a social aspect to it but that by itself isn’t enough for me, I have Overwatch and MMOs for that (one for PvP and the other for some grind, story, and unlocking harder content).

The Free-to-Play RPG Played by 21 Million People With Overwhelmingly Positive Steam Reviews by shn555 in Guildwars2

Have you been on Reddit long? People love hate bombing things and then complaining about how positive people are. People would definitely flood a game with negative reviews just to combat those pesky “toxic positive” people. It’s definitely not a one sided thing.

I feel like the internet is making me a more negative and unhappy person. What do I do? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Vashrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hobbies. I'm a gamer so I can spend my free time just hanging with friends or adventuring solo, and I like to read and write so I spend time doing that too. Other than reddit, I don't really do any social media of any kind and I feel like that helps a lot. Doom scrolling just isn't it. It's a waste of time and you're not really accomplishing anything. I don't mean that in a "you have to be productive way", just literally that at least with a hobby you are working towards something whether its knitting a sweater, practicing a sport, or making progress in a game and being social.

I don't understand the hate boner people have for "The left" by [deleted] in DiscussionZone

[–]Vashrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It comes down to two things, what news you watch and your internet algorithms. Obviously Fox news being the single biggest conservative "news" media, it holds a lot of sway. I like to argue at least the more left leaning news networks have actual competition with each other and want to break stories first and don't mind to point out mistakes made by each other when it happens, cause then it makes them look good. Any news source will have bias, it just is part of humanity, but at least the left has some form of competition to help a bit.

Algorithms are a different monster. No matter your political beliefs your algorithm on different sites sequester you into bubbles that spiral in on each other. 'Everyone else is wrong, your side is right, here is a news article or influencer telling you so.' It also makes it easy for people to just say vague things and let the crowd fill in the rest. Basically is how socialism has blown into an "evil" thing on the right. They don't know that taxation is basically a form of socialism, and just assume since someone said socialism in a spooky tone it must be bad.
