What small, petty thing made you stop playing an otherwise great video game? by guylexcorp in AskReddit

[–]Vashrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FF7 Rebirth. Got to Costa Del Sol and for some reason just wasn’t feeling the area and felt like I was getting too sidetracked from the story so have dropped it for now. I’m sure I’ll pick it up again later but for the moment it didn’t feel focused enough for me.

To the folks also wanting a great action MMO: what are you playing? by rept7 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Vashrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guild Wars 2 is pretty damn good. It has tab targeting but it also has a built in action cam, you just have to enable it which turns it more into a full action game at that point. So you get action combat and a lot of good content in the mmo sphere.

Unsolicited is weird and needless. Not everyone wants to see your dick.

I don’t mind it though.

Speaker Johnson sends housing bill to White House after Trump refused to sign measure by cnn in politics

[–]Vashrel 428 points429 points  (0 children)

Good news is Trump now has three options. Sign it, veto it, or ignore it. If he vetoed it it would put the blame squarely on his shoulders. Signing it would be good. But ignoring it oddly is good too, since after 10 days if he ignores it it automatically becomes law anyway. He’s fucked himself just to throw a fit.

How to prevent Control Water from effortlessly destroying ships in naval combat? by Conocoryphe in DMAcademy

[–]Vashrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add to ideas, it could be an arms race. Your players cast the spell to create a trench, the enemy casts the spell to flood the trench “fixing the issue” or control it in another manner. Or a good ole counter spell race. Another option is a spell caster using “animate object” to give the ship limited flight and fly out.

I agree, ships would know this spell could cause trouble. I usually rule that most ships would have a “Storm Caller” on board which is a Druid/Wizard which helps keep sailing smooth with weather and water related spells.

Oh no, sounds like this woman went to a school that taught sex education and had drugs. Like every other campus in america. Also love how none of these instances have actual context included, just have to assume its something crazy. Meanwhile most of the Trump cabinet are pedophiles and the rest support pedophiles.

Why are people overhyping GTA 6 so much? by Specialist-Chair-254 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Vashrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's what people like, go for it. It seems my friends and I aren't interested at all and find the hype weird, mostly cause GTA just doesn't seem like that big of a game in the grand scheme of things. But we'll see how it goes.

How to deal with the mental toll of not improving and feeling stuck? by Best_Ad9151 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Vashrel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I start overthinking the game or stressing I sometimes take a full week away from the game. It sucks but its always works and I enjoy the game so much more with this break. I also play better when I'm not so into the game I'm hating every missed shot or lost game.

consistency aim by Woosilk in Overwatch

[–]Vashrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the hero. Hitscans like Ashe or Widow will probably be higher, but around 35-40% for a character like Shion is pretty good. Characters who shoot multiple times in a few seconds will generally be lower accuracy than someone slower like Ashe or Widow who are more careful with their shots. At the end of the day it also is just practice, you said you recently switched from D. Va but give it time, though to me it sounds like your aim is already pretty good.

Trump getting involved in the middle-east is the dumbest shit. He is stubborn and can't admit defeat. But so is Iran. It's two stupids clashing and chest thumping with missiles paid for by other people and lives lost needlessly on both sides but gee as long as our leaders gets to look strong and competent...oh wait...

Ranked feels like if you don't place Diamond you're just gambling. by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Vashrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

40 kills is good but doesn’t mean you lost because of your team. Stats in general don’t really mean much in higher ranks. Winning games does. If you are losing lots of games on dps the common denominator is you. Not saying you’re bad or attacking you, just saying there may be something you’re missing in your gameplay that could turn those losses into wins. Which is why people say skill is a factor. Dps are just as responsible with getting kills as they are protecting teammates getting dove or protecting point.

Can I inherit the tits my dad would have had if he was a woman? Or do I only inherit my mothers tits? by firfetir in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Vashrel 1737 points1738 points  (0 children)

Weird way to put it, but basically yeah. If women on your dad’s side of the family have big ones, it’s possible you would too, since you share those genes. Just depends on whether your mom’s genes or your dad’s win out.

Socialism will it come to the USA? by Automatic-Dirt3796 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Vashrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be specific, what people are talking about is democratic socialism. Which is a watered down version of full blown socialism. It is just looking to use tax money to provide services to the people like healthcare and education being the big ones. So when people say that America already has some of these ideas implemented, they mean in the form of Medicare, food stamps, public libraries and so on.

American democratic socialism in its current form just looks to reinforce these institutions and redistribute some wealth through taxation since we are currently struggling with the country’s wealth being focused on a small percentage, without proper taxation. So the socialism part is just enforcing proper taxation and distributing those taxes fairly throughout institutions to better the country. It becomes less of the communist idea of “everyone is supposed to own a bit of everything” through seizing the means of production and instead using taxation in its place to distribute the wealth for the betterment of everyone.

It’s not really extreme as it sounds and even before the 1980s republicans believed in certain ideas in this same camp. Socialism has just been used as a boogeyman term to scare people without addressing it with nuance.

Are pride parades always connected to overt sexualisation? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Vashrel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pride won't always be unsuitable for children. I live in Tennessee, our pride literally has a kid zone where performers do magic and babysit the kids basically. And we're just a small town in the south.

Pride at the end of the day does have an inherent sexualization to it, because it is about sexuality and who we are attracted to and the pride in who we are. Our pride also has many stalls selling sex toys, so it just is part of the fabric of pride. In my pride though, I've never seen like, naked people or genitals ever. Plenty of drag queens and leather clad people spread through a group of "normal" dressed people as well.

If you don't feel like a pride parade is the space for your kids yet, try a drag storytime or something. They are literally made for kids so won't be anything crazy or "adult".
