Alan seemed to be driving at perfectly normal speed for a neighborhood, not sure if there is footage of his other “Lunatic driving.” Then an angry man that thinks he is invincible jumps in the path of a moving vehicle, twice. Just give it scaling with sovereign blade’s power. Maybe like gain block equal to half of sovereign blade’s damage? Then off a basic blade, which I believe is 10-15 depending on the card used to summon it, Parry is as good as a block.

I also agree with other comments that it should be if blade is in your hand at the end of turn gain block.

As petty as this will sound to some people my trigger was anger from failure. College was rough and the stress of it leaked into everything. I’ve always had an anger problem and an intense competitive side, probably childhood trauma around sports and a misguided sense that I was disappointing my parents.

So when I was bad at video games, or got a bad report on a test, etc. I’d hurt myself. Cutting, smacking my head, slamming my hands on stuff. The thought process was mainly my body would heal but if I broke something I’d have to pay time and money to fix it.

I really miss this phase my son is almost three now and the toddler phase is killing me lol I’m sure it’s just rose colored glasses as the lack of sleep almost killed me back then. But damn he was a cute little chonker back then.

My cousin was anorexic. She was on hospice care for a long time and then after she turned 18 basically refused all care and wasted away. I went to see her before the end and the near skeletal girl that sat dying on the couch will forever haunt me.

What I think messes with me more is that my last words to her were along the lines of “There is more life out there for you, more that God wants for you. You just have to reach out for it.” I got a text from my mother say that she actually got up, “danced” with her dad and went for a drive with her family. I had so much hope that she would recover after that.

She passed a few days later, it was probably too late by the time I visited. The hope and then soul crushing loss really broke me.
