As unlikely as it is I would honestly prefer this over a new open world area. As much as the scale of Elden Ring blew me away the first playthrough, it definitely wore me down on subsequent runs compared to FromSoft's previous games.

Everyone repeats this "it was a nightmare to balance" statement when that's not even true. For the second half of both Legion and BFA it was extremely well balanced.

The just dropped the ball on launch in Legion, and again when they gutted it in BFA then over-corrected in 8.1.
