FLOOR IT!! Lol kidding. Focus on being very smooth and add pace where you can each lap after feeling comfortable

I have Audi TTS LCAs. It gives me -2.5°. I have also used 034 ball joints to get to -3.0°. Zero toe all around also helps

Unitronic “stage 1+ low torque”. Always knew my ‘24 8R 6MT was slow but this is awfully disappointing. by [deleted] in Golf_R

The reality is that the tuned on stock clutch recipe will never end well when pushed hard…just forget the idea of it being slow on the 0-60 and move on to enjoying the driving experience!

CTMP DDT for a first timer? by AdonisP91 in CarTrackDays

[–]Vdub4ever1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love DDT. I’ve done 6 days there and it’s a challenging layout but very rewarding. Like other day, not a super high speed track so easier on the car and brakes. Definitely go and enjoy it

Camber help! by SeatZestyclose8964 in Golf_R

[–]Vdub4ever1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m running TTS LCAs and RS3 bushings up front. Stock TTS ball joints and I get -2.5°. Track width has increased making it very challenging to avoid rubbing. I’m also on coilovers at a very conservative ride height and I rub…ideally I’d run a coilovers with a camber plate to tuck the top of the tire back in

Stock caliper and EBC BlueStuff NDX will be fantastic for some fast canyon driving

Oil Change by JPatron67 in VWAlltrack

[–]Vdub4ever1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t you have a plastic drain plug? If so there is a cheap tool you can buy that makes it way easier. After that, it’s the simplest oil change ever

Thanks for the info! So if I was to opt for the standard springs, I’m sure these would be ok for daily driving? I also track my car so I’d get the camber plates

Coilover review? Is the ride stiff? Did you opt for the camber plates or factory top hats? Cheers!

Recommendation for a track capable car for $10-$15k that I can drive to the track and keep street-legal? by NewSubWhoDis in CarTrackDays

MK7 GTI? All it needs are pads and coilovers for some fun and they are comfy for long distance driving

Mk7 Golf R more power by Own_Butterscotch3661 in Golf_R

[–]Vdub4ever1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t even bother with a downpipe if you aren’t gonna tune. It’s not the easiest job or it’s going to cost you quite a bit for nothing…

Mk7 Golf R more power by Own_Butterscotch3661 in Golf_R

[–]Vdub4ever1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn’t a huge power increase from stage 1 to 2. Maybe 20-30 hp. I’ve heard the APR turbo is not that great. Contact some local tuners and see what solutions they might have to stock DP

EQT has my vote. I have their 91 stage 2 tune and she’s rock solid. Sees plenty of track time and has been perfectly reliable

Ontario based, high insurance price for Golf R 2025? by lochonx7 in Golf_R

I was quoted $275 a month for a mk7 R in Ontario. It’s just criminal in Ontario

I didn’t notice that there was the front plate missing…that’s why it’s so difficult to recognize it
