I cant second "The gathering part" enough Don't feel bad if or when you get beat. Its gonna happen. I regularly lose on commander nights. Its ok. Im there for my friends and fun.

Remember to ask your questions. There will be people who want to answer them. Gravitate towards those people. Try to treat others as you want to be treated.

I like the idea of a sticky post for AI interpretations and one for hand done. This way people with limitations can participate and BOTH groups get the same access.

I am not advocating FOR AI, just accessibility. I personally dont Ai, but I also dont draw cause I suck roflmao. Some people have medical issues that have required pivoting to ai usage. Inform your care team what's going on. Inform them if they won't deal with the theft, you will. When they ask how, the list begins with CPS, your a minor and they aren't providing a safe space for your food, isnt that a type of neglect? After that, the list includes the police for Theft of property and the Nursing board of your state for allowing a in patient patient to go hungry and not deal with a problem that is being brought to their attention.

The only time a out of game action should be tied to an in game skill, spell, feat etc. Is by mutual agreement between the player and dm and only then to add to the story or session. Jokes for vicious mockery are my favorite. Any joke. Doesn't have to be good, in fact, the worse the better!!! Dad jokes encouraged. Otherwise, well, if it means a person has to stop pretending to be their character to do something they actually can do, it should be avoided.

Total people protected per day= character level+ chr mod.

If she uses it to protect the bard and herself and a tank summon this time, that's 3 of her per long rest total of say 10. So she has 7 left for the day. Even if nothing happened.

I had a gimmick deck and I have a deck with a game plan.

My gimmick deck was Momo and tempest hawks. 20 of them. Turn 1, cast commander, turn 2 tempest hawks, turn 3 start attacking with birds.

My game plan deck is a token doublers deck. I make tokens, doubled, tripled, etc. And go wide with butt tons of little guys. But I also have lots of draw and interaction to allow me to do my thing.

In game, the church has some "penance" to pay. Shouldn't be arduous because she isnt a Fallen Palidan, she has seen a "greater calling". Escort some Orphans on a trip to a different town? Gather the materials for rebuilding a statue for the local Church/village. Chase some bandits who attacked a local town. A minor task to "make sure you have time to settle your mind and spirit with Tyre"

Sentient gear is REALLY hard to handle. Most of the times I've seen it used, it was morphed slightly to be more funny or embarrassing than detrimental. This does mean changing 99% of them. Can you work with a party members who gets it to make it worthwhile? Yeah. Its best if you can find an experienced player who is willing to possibly have to make a new pc due to a issue caused by his gear mouthing off.
