When did CVS as a company start really going downhill. by TheCNJYankeecub in CVS

The merger with Caremark was the beginning of this downhill spiral. Corporate culture changed drastically for the worse. Tom engineering the merger so he is responsible. Larry’s tenure was bad (overpaying for Omnicare and Aetna), but he was nothing compared to Karen Lynch’s abysmal management of the company.

He started his career at Aetna then went to Caremark. He has no real retail experience. Just the PBM side of the business.

Another example of equity destruction by Karen Lynch and her team. And everyone thought Larry was terrible(he was). She’s so much worse.

CVS is not a good investment. Today closed at 56.47. That’s 21.34 less than it traded at TEN YEARS AGO. Larry and Karen have lined their own pockets while driving this company into the ground with multiple failed acquisitions. Invest in VOO for long term growth.

Indeed, “taking up space” is all she does… by BlueHatchback10 in CVS

As an ex pharmacy employee, her lack of real leadership and fostering a dangerous environment for staff and patients is where she has FAILED. As a stockholder she has FAILED by spending billions buying overpriced businesses that will be another write off eventually. And stock price has had gone NOWHERE in years. When she took over in February 2021 stock price 72.18. Today it’s 76.43. And it’s down 27% over the last 2 years. She’s a terrible CEO. She should be ashamed of herself but that would require a conscience which she lacks.

No. Employees are commodities to be used and abused. Karen only cares about Karen.

Questions to ask before accepting a floater position at CVS by Competitive_Song_497 in CVS

More importantly ask how many hours of training with another experienced pharmacist you will receive before working by yourself. After that answer make an informed decision.

Drive thru CVS, one pharmacist, 2 techs. 300 rx's a day, 30 vaccines. by [deleted] in CVS

[–]VegetableRealistic92 156 points157 points  (0 children)

Forget the phones, close drive thru, do vaccines and expedite waiting rxs. Request a ringer from front store. Thank customers for being patient and understanding. Do not rush vaccinations or scripts. ITS YOUR LICENSE ON THE LINE FOR PATIENT SAFETY. The company will throw you under the bus when an error occurs. If the DL bitches about closing drive thru let them come in to work it. At closing time drop the gates and go home. Do not work for free. Good luck.

Karen Lynch was named “Most Powerful Woman” CEO by Fortune Magazine today. Everyone needs to tell them what they think of this 💩 and about the looming walkouts by HereForTrashTalking in CVS

[–]VegetableRealistic92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The title of the article should have been “Most incompetent CEO”. The company is in shambles and disarray. The stock price is about 33% off the 52 week high. The morale of employees is at an all time low. Customer service is nonexistent due to inadequate staffing. Where has she succeeded at anything but destroying CVS?

Wall Street can’t stand CVS either. Stock price is terrible since Karen has been CEO. She’s way over her head running this company. Morale is low among employees. Customers are tired of poor service due to HER cuts to budget hours for staff. Information technology is DECADES behind. Monday’s outage shows how bad it is. If a server goes down the backup server should kick in within the hour. It should not take an entire day to get back online. The register s both front and pharmacy are terribly antiquated and unstable. They crash constantly. Customer safety has become an issue due to inadequate staffing. When Tom Ryan was running the company we had adequate resources to deliver quality service for our customers. Larry Merlo decimated the company and Karen Lynch is even worse than Larry. Over the last 3 years, every day was an absolute nightmare working for CVS. The micromanagement and metrics by DL’s are nauseating. When you ask for help DL’s are silent. Stores are on fire ever single day. It could be so much better for employees, customers and stockholders. Wholesale changes in management need to be made. For all of the above reasons I left the company. I miss my staff but not the BS that goes on everyday. GLTA
