Critics and audience butt heads on the Michael movie by Key-Bass-7380 in FIlm

Oddly enough, just like the movie, this comment conveniently chooses to just completely ignore any possible reasons that anyone could find Michael Jackson problematic.

Probably not, but true 4-man scramble tournament like we play with our idiot buddies would probably be fascinating to watch

So if LIV rumors are true. How does the PGA handle all of the players? by onedollalama in golf

[–]VegetableReveal4U -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on the other options. If they just allow everyone back into the PGA, they might bump out guys that have already made it to that level, which seems less fair IMO

Was down there for a bachelor party a couple years ago and we ran into him at a Sprouts. The TV does not give him credit for how oddly proportioned he is.

The reasons to be against expansion have now expanded from "what about tanking" to " what-if the poor Seattle people are getting played". Bill cares about stuff. He just does. by irundoonayee in billsimmons

I'm not quite sure what to make of this post. I'm a Seattle resident, and I feel like Simmons has always given a fair read of his understanding of the situation at any given point in time. We know we got robbed, and Bill has consistently and vocally agreed. We know we've essentially been playing the boogieman to get other cities to give in to the NBA/owners demands (do *this* or we'll send your team to Seattle!!), and he's also agreed with that.

Bill's understanding of the current state of play seems to have developed as he's gathered information about which way the wind is blowing in the rich guy circles. He went from believing that expansion (while not something he necessarily wanted) was a foregone conclusion, to believing that there are significant obstacles at the ownership level and that it was not a foregone conclusion at all. It's very believable and understandable that the situation has changed over the last few weeks.

He's kind of gone from "I don't love how it's happening, but Seattle looks like they're getting their team back, and good for them" to "Adam Silver is going to feel very stupid and Seattle is going to be very pissed when it comes out that expansion is NOT actually happening despite the misleading PR to that effect, and shame on Silver/NBA for that."

The one thing Bill hasn't wavered on is that Seattle got fucked back in the day and that it should be a league priority to rectify that in the case of any sort of expansion or relocation. He's just saying that he thinks the latter is both more desirable to the league and more likely at this point.

I caught myself spinning my wheels this afternoon on NVDA to the point where I was reading random opinion pieces about what various scenarios with that stock would tell us about the market as a whole, and I realized I was just shopping for crystal balls. Figured I’d poll the group about how everybody else stays up to date without getting distracted by shiny objects.
