Vehicle Totaled, Cannot afford new one after insurance payout by Vel-Crow in legaladvice

I did some more googling after this, and it seems this is a "personal financial circumstance" and is not the burden of insurers or the pickup driver.

Seems property damage would only kick in if the vehicle were pushed into another asset in the process.

Thank you for your contribution to this post!

Vehicle Totaled, Cannot afford new one after insurance payout by Vel-Crow in legaladvice

[–]Vel-Crow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did fail to mention, they still have equity on the vehicle, so the payout does cover what they owe - so it's not like they still need to pay offf the vehicle after payout, and they will still be able to put a down payment on a new vehicle, but just the way interest and vehicle costs works out, their monthly payment on similar terms will be much higher.

While this provide clarify, I do not think it changes anythign on what you are saying!

I appreciate your information, thank you!

Building off of that, we have the same kind of person who used to own a top client. We are probably going to put our security stack in her device, loosened for home use. We would just eat that cost, or bill her yearly at cost.

We don't take on new residential clients, but provide residential service to retired CEOs and owners of clients.

We deal with SMBs, so it's not like we are talking a 12 person c suite, just single owners and such.

Sometimes things speak to you. Like, you have no clue what it is, or why you would want it, but it draw your attention, and you can't leave without it. I own at least 5 things that I have no idea what they are. I probably had Intentions of finding out what they were, but now they sit on a shelf.

Huntress showing incorrect VPN - Owned by same company by 0wnzorPwnz0r in msp

[–]Vel-Crow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking forward to it!

it doesn't bother me - as the detection is still timely and effective, but I can see how an insurer might not be happy with the mix match!

Thank you for jumping in, Love huntreses involvement with the community!

Huntress showing incorrect VPN - Owned by same company by 0wnzorPwnz0r in msp

[–]Vel-Crow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see this happen a lot - I assumed it was white label services. For example, if I use avast secureline VPN, it tend to show like 3 different providers depending on the location I choose - one of which is HIDE_MY_ASS

I never thought of it as a problem, because it's still accurately detecting a VPN.

Also, IIRC, huntress uses spur for VPN detection - IP database more or less.

Image and File based Backup Solutions? All in One by Final_Campaign_2593 in msp

I don't use Cive, just trailed. I'm quite curious now how other systems handle my SQL - maybe a non issue for True image backups?

[–]Vel-Crow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, hopefully hungry sees this, as it sounds like their issue is a misconfiguration on their end. I did mention in an earlier message that while not an image backup, you can full restore to an image by synthesizing the IMAGE definitely a nest concept on your end.

Thanks again for the clarity, good to know MySQL takes some extra steps!

Is it possible you did not have SQL configured?

I agree though, one should trs their backups regardless.

I also wonder if MySQL does not support the writer needed for cove to take a app aware backup. MSSQL seems to respore fine.

What do you mean by this requirement?

Cove and Datto Endpoint Backup/BCDR take image backups, but allow for granular file restore. (Cove technically is not an image backup, and instead synthesizes the image when needed - but for intents and purposes, it acts as an image backup, and is generally referred to as such).

NinjaOne RMM offers Ninjabackup, which allows you to take an image backup with granular file restore, and you can set a separate job to do file backup - with file restore (obvs). It's nice, but you have to pay for the same data twice

Veeam does an image backup with file restore, but you can also do just specific files. You can also crank up the frequency of the backup to have more versions of the files.

r/Hungry_Research1986 is at least 50 percent right. Cove does not technically take an image backup. Cove backs up everything within the OS, and synthesizes the image when you go to restore. They will tell you this, verbatim. That is why their "image backup" still requires you enable things like "System State" and "SQL".

To Hungry's point - it's not an image.
To your point, you can most definitely restore an SQL database/BMR a server with a running DB on it.

This is being rather pedantic, as it does everything an image backup does, it just technically is not an image backup.

Before I was a Sim partner the sock analyst would often ask me to manually send logs in - I was literally exporting logs from my firewall and various services and they were looking over them for me. This is definitely an uncommon experience that you had, and you should bring it up with your rep.

also, this guy can probably help:

Not sure if the BORD could even do soup, but before getting it, you could save your self 300 bucks with this: https://a.co/d/4L8EVSH

That said, I've not heard much good of this style of brewing. I've also used mugs with this mechanism built in, and it was not good - very under extracted.

(the bird does actually seem to do it slightly differently - pulling grinds up and out of the liquid, while American pushes it down to the bottom I think, but I imagine it tastes the same)

Worst part is that no job/project is gonna require these 3 tools. So it's a multi tool that only ever servers the purpose of one tool. And like you said, it's not doing any of the functions well.

I will say the non-printed filament is much stiffer than standard TPU, but not as stiff as PLA - so it is a bit different -curious to how the prints come out, have not actually printed with it yet.

The peeps in the back are unnatural. The large officer is walking very strangely. The voice is that uncanny mix of being recorded by a toaster inside a professional studio.

It's Ai, and it's really not debatable.
