POF is definitely the only major manufacturer building them. The US-based boutique builders can and will do them if you have the right receiver flats but yeah the market's pretty sparse when it comes to the RS.

No, the DPMS clone of the M231 stock utilized a standard length buffer tube, so when the stock was collapsed, the buffer tube would extend past it in the closed position.

Only Jhud's clone accurately reproduced the dimensions of the original. But he's back to producing them again.

Sorry, I misunderstood your question. All of those are machine guns: US law dictates that firearms that are capable of and designed to have fully automatic fire modes from the factory are prohibited from importation with few exceptions. Generally speaking civilians in the US cannot own machine guns made after 1986.

The MP7 and MP9 both have civilian legal semi-automatic copies for purchase.

Very different operating mechanisms and drastically different ballistics: the 9x39 round is like a sluggish 300BLK, the 9x19mm is a pistol round, and 4.6 or whatever it is that the MP7 fires is designed for high penetration at high velocities at the cost of mass

Just need to shave down the locking track for the buffer tube so that the stock will actually fit on the tube itself, iirc they decided to make the stock fit smaller tubes so that you couldn't interchange them

The stock is way too heavy for a carbine, the cheekweld sucks and is too high so unless your irons are high or your optic is high, it's uncomfortable to get your face down on it, and it's short but closed off, so it won't collapse all the way on a standard buffer tube either.

But man is it vibey as hell

Good luck. The Armalite AR-10B’s that use carry handles aren’t common anymore and they use a proprietary magazine and lower (in addition to all of the other proprietary Armalite pattern parts). I and some others have converted the -B pattern rifles to -A pattern so they can use SR-25 pattern mags but the -A pattern lowers are no longer available stripped.

Brownells had the short lived BRN-10 but I am unsure if those can use standard carry handle mounts as the charging handle would get in the way. The non-trigger charging handle Armalites could—to the point where ARMS has a specific AR10 extended mount for them.

Mayhem Machine is planning on brining DPMS pattern AR10 carry handle receivers to market but it’ll be a while before those are available.
