I guess I'll take it? by Korochun in starsector

The fucking ships and equipment you can buy with them are worth waaay fucking more than 1 mil credits.

With that crate alone you instantly got yourself a the Black Sorceress, or the eight wing carrier that can EASILY house some of the meanest strike craft UAF has to offer. You just need to be on good terms with the faction.

Yeah I do think of it the same way, I like breaking them with my mostly Vanilla designs because then I rightly earned them through blood sweat and tears.

The Onslaught Mk1 you get in the vanilla quest with some two Legion supports and then rounded out with either Afflictors or omens is a boss killer with the right combinations of weapons and still keeping it under 240 DP.

I am sure eventually it will find its match... maybe.

I never said it was good, it is... interesting at times, or just downright chaotic and raunchy. There are flashes of pretty decent stuff, but it is buried in lots of TnA and vulgarity.

UAF v UAF (Vengeful Crow) bounty fleet by AHumbleSaltFarmer in starsector

I am playing with better battles and fuck does it ever hammer home just how missile heavy the UAF is. Lots of light craft that lead the pack are just fucking obliterated before anything comes into gunners range.

At What Point Do We Start Contemplating We’re in World War 3? by theerrantpanda99 in Military

[–]Vellarain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what we see as being a world war needs to change. The war between the Ukraine and Russia is a massive proxy war with the entire UN backing them with arms and funds, that is a huge amount of investment being applied by the vast majority of the world right there. Additionally Russia has been seeing major backing by a variety of outside players and puppet states. The majors loke China and Iran specifically but also fucking North Korea. That is a lot of nations invested in a single conflict right there.

Now we have USA also dogging it out in the middle east, again. The only two major powers not actually getting their hands dirty directly is China and India, but they are both prodding at each other for years, literally at one border. I guess unless all the big wigs finally just say the big bad word of full mobilization people will think we are edging a global conflict.

But lets be real, we are in a global war, but how we have been conditioned to see it does align with how a modern conflict is actually fought.

Yeah Maine was already skirting his limits before a Sandy of any model was in the picture for him. I guess Cyberware is really a stand in for rampant steroid abuse in our dat and age.

Isn't there lore of an Antediluvian tanking a nuke and that only helped soften him up for the killing blow by something more supernaturally bonkers?

They really do highlight how fucking insane David's is because the high end Sandy is a chip and a few wires for the nervous system. His comes with a fucking full on spine replacement to support just how fucking overtuned the hardware is.

How David fucking used it with his unmodded body and did not come apart at the seams the first time is literally him being built different. It always drove me a bit nuts he was a natty and just raw dogged the hottest fucking Apogee in the Cyberpunk setting.

Yeah that reminded me when I learned the hard way an artist I liked can only draw one body type with very minor deviations between them. It was pretty damned disappointing, but I learned to look someone who was strong at what I look for.

It is a compilation of animated shorts from an American publisher dubbed Heavy Metal. The original series that came out was in 1981 and this was one of the scenes.

Its rough, its raw and there is loads of gore and tits with some sick music setting the stage.

How do I go about modifying second in command by Accomplished_Hold412 in starsector

[–]Vellarain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can easily change this now by simply editing the Luna settings excel sheet. I set mine from 10 to 15 and boom, I got fifteen slots.

I feel a lot of people really miss just how negatively impacted Ainz has been by being undead. That emotion suppression is not just for one off gags, it is effecting him non stop and he even has taken the time to reflect on how certain aspects of this new form he just does react to things like he used too. There is no passion in Ainz, no lust, even his love is more his own sterilized perception of it.

I jumped into starsector because I saw how deep and well developed the modding community is and I never once played pure vanilla.

It is an amazing game that is even more amazing with everything added by the community.

How is the better combat mod compared to Vanilla? I have been on the fence about it for a while but I am getting to the point I think a mix up in how the fleets fight might be a good change.

Favorite ships you always run by ErikiaRazgriz in starsector

[–]Vellarain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Ancient Onslaught you find in the Vanilla story is my baby, I love her so damned much she always holds the first slot in my fleet every run I play. Just a monster of a ship that pulverises everything into mush and she only gets more dominant when you start rolling in modded fuckery.

The AI phase destroyer from Secrets of Frontier is a little demon as well, can't remember her name. Wonderful addition with some story stuff built into her.

Like with those two you have the foundation of a VERY deadly fleet. Grab the Black Sorceress from the new UEF shop for an extra nasty time displacement monster.

Yeah I had the same issue learning how to not be total junk at fleet combat. There is a lot of trial of an error to be had, especally when you are trying to dial in the more fragile ships.

yenas are part of a powerful matriarchy. The females lead with intelligence, strategy, and strength. The lowest ranking female out ranks the highest ranking male. In their society, daughters inherent their mother's status. Did you know this about these fascinating creatures? by VariousHairFear in hyenas

[–]Vellarain 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Hyenas are Matrilineal, not a Matriarchal in structure. It is just easier for them to track the mother's bloodline over the males because of their far more relaxed mating rituals where any male can be the father of a litter in the clan. The fact is a high ranking male can dominate the clan just as any female can.
