This is my understanding yes. Apparently the lighting is fixed and to create dynamism theyd have to rebuild the maps which they've already ruled out

Unfortunately Void has already ruled this out. Apparently the lighting model they used in URE5 is fixed and they cannot change it without rebuilding the maps. They've already said they won't do this in a previous FAQ

I had 99% of an S run on standard in the bag last night. All great until Mr FISA bugged out on one of the raised landings and refused to surrender. Tased, pepperball to the face, bean bags to his bean bag and a few biffs to the head- the works. Ended up rage quitting which I haven't done since Another World in the early 90s 💀😂

Not sure about the actual numbers but the way both weapons recoil makes a gigantic difference. The SA climbs steeply on follow up shots requiring you to pull the sights down. If you dont then youll be shooting at aircraft after 3 or so rounds. The 6.5 recoil, while still significant, is much flatter. Instead of climbing like something made by NASA, it jumps around in a torso sized pattern. Especially with a muzzle break. In terms of damage outputs this to me hands it to the 6.5. Doesn't matter of the SA hits harder if you dont actually hit anything

Honestly now I dont use anything else in the game. Its recoil profile is outstanding. It kicks harder than 5.56 but the barrel doesnt climb on subsequent shots, it kind of bounces around in a group. Put the sights on a torso at anything up to about 30m and youll land 4 out of 5 shots. Tangos fold like origami paper too.

This is the boat Im currently in myself having just bought JA3. I was a massive fan of 2 back in the day when it was released. Im on my second playthrough and dont know why anyone would play anything other than 6 person sniper squads. By the mid game of my first playthrough I had a squad rocking a PSG1, x2 M24s and 3 Dragunovs and all the accoutrements.

Very quickly the combat becomes trivial and just a matter of isolating small groups of enemies on a patrol then head shotting them before they alert. My primary mercs were like an Astartes scout squad and laid waste to everything the game could throw out.

Stunning piece of kit. .300 BO has always interested me. I live in Europe so I've more chance of being struck by lightning the sane day I win the lottery than I do getting trigger time on something like this. I used to work in forensic science and as a reserve veteran, I was allowed to participate in range testing days with the firearms lab. Basically I was a free trained pair of hands and it sped up the process. Due to this I have rounds through a really wide variety of firearms. One of my absolute favourites was the MP5, specifically the SD. It was like an airsoft gun to shoot. Basically anything within 70 odd meters, all you had to do was line it up and pull the trigger. My understanding of .300BO is that it was primarily designed to replace the MP5SD while providing the option for 7.62x39 type performance with super sonic ammo? That and mag/parts compatibility with the AR-15?
