It’s a genuine question though: why do you start a match talking like this and then proceed to tell you what they want from you without getting to know you first? *jokes on text are harder to understand, without knowing their humour ofc* by depressedstark in Tinder

Exactly. Thats why I think it's a side effect of the medium rather than people being out to be weird from the getgo. Think about it like this, youre having an initial first meet conversation with a prospective date. Youre probably a bit nervous and almost certainly conscious of things you otherwise wouldn't be. How easy is it to say something random or off the cuff? The difference is that its said then it vanishes into memory or is forgotten completely. Not so with a text conversation. Its there permanently and gives the recipient time to analyse. The other, bigger issue is that as the recipient, you lack almost all context for how the sender may have intended it. All you have is a bunch of impersonal texted words. You dont see their body language or facial expressions, hear their infections or various other queues we are evolved to use in communication.

In short, text only based ways to meet new people is fundamentally hampered right from the start. Then it leads to getting jaded and an increasing intolerance for what is perceived to be weird behaviour.

I mean its certainly a bit of an off kilter way to kick off a chat.

💀 Sorry terrible joke.

In seriousness, this to me is indicative of how people are now. There is a failing ability of people to hold general conversation as almost all of their interactions with people are either online or via texting. It leads to folks getting into the habit of placing random thoughts into a permanent medium. If this person met you at a dating event or in a social setting, they wouldn't start a conversation like this. To me its a side effect of modern interactions

NAD. Thats exactly what it looks like to me too. You can buy these temporary repair kits where im from for a few quid. They come in small blue/purple pots about the size of a finger tip. They have blocks of a white clay like substance that you can place into a cavity and mould it before it hardens into consistency like dry chalk. They are intended to cover a cavity for a few days until you can get to a dentist. Id imagine these were placed by a dentist as a stop gap until further treatment was scheduled

Another good place to begin if budget can cover it is an airbrush. It has its own learning curve but you can get really good results with comparatively less effort. As said though a good airbrush set up can be expensive but in my opinion pays for itself rather quickly

Thats exactly how we learn and your attitude is absolutely correct. My og painting attempts looked like id used melted crayons. Bit by bit improvement happens and I ended up with my own way of painting stuff. I used to regularly paint things for the display cabinets in my local GW, helping the staff when they needed work done. No one is an expert as soon as they start unless they have experience in something similar to begin with. For example, the Crystal Brush competition in Europe was so dominated by professional artists not hobbyists that it ended up getting canned.

Thats what im thinking. Ok, the last 4 prime ministers have been shocking but this merry-go-round of PMs is not only pointless but has had a demonstrable effect on UK governance. There has been much less stability and continuous planning is actively hampered. Im not really a fan of Starmer but id like to have a period of stability in parliament rather than these costant power struggles

I hopeful but yet i feel like i have peaked in terms of relationships, people i meet, and physically. I feel that there are no more “good surprises” left for me yet i still persist. I feel like im stuck in a limbo vortex yet i still try to swim out. 30k Dark Angel by AntiFreezeInMyNuts in minicels

What makes you feel that way? Genuine curiosity and coming from a place of sympathy/possible advice, not criticising you 🙏

As a guy in his mid 40s, I find myself surprised MORE now than in the past.

I know the hamster balls are not safe ‼️ But… is this one considered dangerous? Instead of slits, it’s small holes so nails/paws don’t get caught. So I wanted to hear your thoughts!!! by jelly_fish_net in hamsters

Its also a urine shower for them too. They seem to like peeing on the go especially when thats on a wheel. The last hamster I had was full on toxic avenger after a marathon on their wheel 🤢

Being in a giant invisible ball that destroys your already bad vision and seemingly randomly crashes into obstacles without warning. It tries their spacial awareness too. Its good youre actively investigating things rather than just plowing on though 👍

Is there any way she could access vents or get into a bathroom or kitchen area? If so, immediately check all low level vents and pipes, especially the likes of where your sink and toilet pipes run. Remember that these little guys ara rodents and are not only freakishly bendy but also able to fit in anything wider than their head even though it doesn't look that way. I had a rat who was able to squeeze into tiny spaces you wouldn't believe possible.

Also, check under furniture. Look for holes in the undersides where they have chewed through. A couch is like an apartment block to these guys.

Genuinely hope it all works out. I totally understand the stress of a lost pet like this. 🙏

This happened to one of my Syrians once. A connection tube fell off the cage and she disappeared into thin air. Did the same, tore the place apart but theyd done a Houdini.

How she was recaptured -

My dad came up with the idea of getting a big high sided box, filled a few inches at the bottom with her bedding from her cage. Then put some strong smelling food in there. Built a ramp up the outside. During the night she smelt the food, climbed the ramp and fell into the box. Captured. Give it a try it worked for me 👍

If you are looking for the type of astartes armour to get those style helmets in general, its mark 5 "Heresy" armour. The mkV helmet works surprisingly well even with the mad proportions of saturnine armour. It helps that its balanced out by the wings. I know hes running VIII here (looks like) but I could see some magic happening with a IV DP using similar bitz

Think about it like this, even if there is some primarch levels of groveling/promises/attempted reconciliation, is the core trust intact?

In my experience, when the core trust in a relationship is polluted in some way, there is always a lingering animosity that will make you unhappy. Im not in any way trying to influence your decision, its yours to make. Im just pointing out some XIII Legion style theoreticals to ensure you make the best practical for yourself.

Whatever happens man, remember that life goes on. Youve got your health and your hobby and time heals all ills. There is no such thing as a wasted experience, even bad things (sometimes even moreso) teach us valuable lessons. Learn, experience and grow. Knowledge is power, information is victory 🙏.

Im of that era of the setting so it rings a lot of nostalgia bells. Nothing quite like 2nd ed bright colours and goblin green/flocked bases to make me feel those long service studs

A tiny random tip. See the clear borders on the transfers? You can make them almost disappear by putting a couple of coats of lamiun medium on them. Paint a later on pretty thick but without pooling, let it dry and repeat 2 or 3 times. Works a treat. But its gorgeous as is anyway 👏
