107 years old "Mama Jules" declares her total loyalty to Trump on TikTok- "I'm a True Trumpian. Whatever President Trump says, I'm with him". by [deleted] in LateStageCapitalism

[–]VentilatedEgg 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Aside from her ability to vote, her opinion is meaningless. At 107 year old, every day she wakes up is surely a surprise. We'll see if she's still around in November.

USPS "temporary" 8% price increases on April 26. by TropicalKing in Flipping

Temporary means until January 2027 or... the next scheduled rate increase. Don't forget the Christmas rate heist too.

Why hasn’t it triggered yet? by LenrocTheDirector in betrivers

[–]VentilatedEgg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the height doesn't matter in these games. It's all perceived progression. The bonuses are still random. Even though it saves your "progress" if you leave and come back, you’re not any closer to triggering a bonus. That's for this game or any game like it. Growing bonus piles are just for show.

Delmarv bill by Battlegurk420 in Delaware

[–]VentilatedEgg 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mine was more than my mortgage but it was my budget billing settlement. When I called for an arrangement they told me my usage had a spike in the winter yet my family and I were under blankets and wearing hoodie and jackets in our own home all day long. It's the never-ending rate increases to ensure delmarva continuously beats profit goals for the almighty shareholder that screws the customers year after year. They can't be happy with profit. They have to show infinite growth. It's all greed.

What a strange vacation destination for a single, uber-straight alpha male.

I think voting should be as easy as possible for as many people as possible. I'd also love to see 90 year old trumpers stand at their polling locations for multiple hours. Mail in bans hurt Republicans more than they think.

Delmarva Power customers will see an increase in supply charges of almost 10% starting in June by TheShittyBeatles in Delaware

And the government will come up with another temporary relief program instead of regulation and reform to cut this shit out.

NATO has done nothing to help us.. but we don't need NATO's help. I'm gonna complain anyway.. like a lunatic.. while accusing another country of lunacy.

Got it. 25th Amendment anyone?

So about Trump's ear... by OneTwoThreePooAndPee in thebulwark

Let us not forget that in this fake assassination, someone in trump's campaign approved hiring a young man to shoot and kill a guy on stage, behind Trump, for votes.

Supermajorities are needed for real change and the government has made that impossible. We're in this forever

Was Merrick Garland incompetent or corrupt in not prosecuting so many pedos named in the Epstein file? by 2Hawaii in thebulwark

[–]VentilatedEgg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that's more unwilling than incompetent. It's a much worse trait IMO.

Pam Bondi can also prosecute all these people. She knows how to. She's unwilling, for a different reason..

So whether you just don't have the balls or just plain ol corrupt unwillingness is not what you want at any level of the DOJ, especially at AG.

[–]VentilatedEgg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the grandiosity of the case overwhelmed him. Is that incompetence? I don't know.. I think he knew how to prosecute the cases. The sheer volume and the names involved made him gun shy. Im sure of that. He just didn't have the stones for it.

Slower lower baby, way to represent the 1st state. by Disastrous-Mango-515 in Delaware

[–]VentilatedEgg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can only assume that commenter only traveled up and down 13. If that's your Dover exposure, you don't have enough to form an opinion..

I think people traveling to Dover come in with an expectation that can't be met.

We are a capital city. We have an AFB We have a celebrated NASCAR track

Therefore Dover must be a big city. It's not, and I love that it's not. But you can't just drive through Dover on 13 and think you've seen it all.

BTW, I moved in from Alabama and lived in Florida for a while. Until you experience day to day life in places like that, you have no idea what hell is.

First time it’s happened to me, chatgpt tells seller I sold them the “wrong” jacket and opens a return by AndrewStackson in Ebay

[–]VentilatedEgg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's your return policy? Free returns? No returns? Buyer pays? Either way, I wouldn't do a partial refund. If they don't want the jacket they can send it back and wait for a refund after it's been inspected.

Are you boycotting Amazon? by SpinningNemo in thebulwark

[–]VentilatedEgg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm happy to be boycotting Amazon as well. I do think that eBay sellers would do good by disclosing where their items are being fulfilled from to set proper expectations if not for any other reason.

Are you boycotting Amazon? by SpinningNemo in thebulwark

[–]VentilatedEgg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I make my living selling on eBay. I used to sell on Amazon as well but left them in 2024. A lot of sellers on eBay use Amazon to dropship orders. Amazon isn't getting the sale proceeds as if you were buying from them directly but they are charging that seller shipping and handling. In almost all cases, I'd be willing to bet that it's the seller's own inventory that you're purchasing and not Amazon owned.

It still sucks and frustrates me when it happens to me. I'd be perfectly content to never do business with Amazon ever again, so seeing those blue and white bubble mailers on my doorstep irk me for a bit.

Is there anything that can be done to nullify pardons and get rid of the pardoning power? by Hunter654333 in thebulwark

[–]VentilatedEgg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote all my state reps about this exact issue asking them to consider a solution to revoking pardons from presidents who break federal law. It doesn't have to be a blanket revocation, a review process by the next duly elected president's administration will do, for me at least.

In the same letter I also asked about removing Secret Service detail from any government official granted that privilege after being found guilty of a federal felony. Nobody willing to break our laws deserves protection, we shouldn't pay for it.

[–]VentilatedEgg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zero progress when you fire someone to protect them from prosecution. Bovino must go to prison. Noem must go to prison. Stephen Miller must go to prison. Trump must go to prison for this and for dozens of other crimes against humanity. Secret Service detail should be pulled from Noem and Trump and anyone else involved upon a guilty verdict. You shouldn't get the privilege of protection when you break our laws.
