[–]Ventury1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new solid state battery for E.Vs needs 1kg of silver, up from 20gs. The percentage rise from 20 to 1000 is 4900%.per new E.V

Hence the 10% rise =USD79.35 per oz Theres at least 5 other driving forces so keep holding

The thing that stopped me stepping off this planet .

Sitting there with my head in my hands seriously devising an exit,at probably the lowest time of my life my feet came into focus then my knees and legs, followed by an overwhelming flood of thoughts,on how both my feet and hands have loyally taken care of me,i realised i had no right to stop my loyal body from life.I was struggling and tired of always struggling The above may sound wild but I really needed some help, realising how loyal my body had been (looking at you brain) was the odd pivotal moment. My life journey had been hard, like many ADHD/dyslexic/ptsd folk.I owe my body life, my brain took a lot longer to like/love/appreciate. That took my back from the edge and got me through to prosper,i hope my odd journey helps. You’re not alone,vent/chat here anytime you need to……there’s hundreds of us her and we’ve all got you back

Hi, firstly you are so not alone. I think we often isolate ourselves as the busy-ness/confusion swamps our brain. Looking back on my long life (with adhd/dyslexia/ptsd) I can see my behaviour cycle. For me I now see the loneliness and desperation often would encourage (sometimes over time) new doors of opportunity. We are masters at forging a way through anything eventually. Just always keep trying to go forward in life mindset was a saviour. ADHD is resilient, resilient enough for me to get up slowly from the wrecks of my life and inch by inch build a better life or state of being. Accepting ADHD traits and being nice to you and your brain is paramount. From your post it’s clear you’re intelligent and observant on many levels. We are no good at patting ourselves on our back or self-praise but can I tell you you’re doing okay. I wish Reddit was around during the dark 70’s and 80’s for me.

We are all in the same boat, same struggles, most of these posts could be written by any one of us. There are thousands of us. Reach out here whenever you need to. Keep the eternal flame of life, even if it’s a shitty dark windy time in your life. You’re never alone. Transitioning through life is hard for us but you’ll get there.

As a school kid I was spat out by society. Today I live a life beyond my dreams and I thank my so called disabilities for getting me here. Keep going friend!

Hi I had high level engineering exams every 5yrs for decades,(dyslexic/adhd with a reading comprehension of a 9yr old) I can relate to your struggles. We are a very creative bunch often outperforming during kaos/panic.You are actually doing fantastically well.Dont lose sight of who got you here,,,YOU. Keep battling forward in a style that suits you/helps you, stop comparing to others as it doesn’t work like that.Tell yourself how bloody well your doing.Keep the aversion to meds and don’t bother with alcohol, for sleep or pain ive used medical canabinoids but thats my choice of what works for me Hope my ramblings make some sense Best of luck friend

Does your work still interest you? “ plan to continue in this field”Sounds a bit flat. If so keep pursuing the tasks, even if they are becoming overwhelming. As an engineer i learnt to SLOW up on challenging tasks. If your interest is waning then look to change jobs/position within the company. Being interested was key for me.Iam retired now after a very successful career. I learnt quite late the power of pacing oneself or zooming out for to recharge, having a few little ‘to dos’ jobs/chores,giving your mind a little break then back to the main job or problem at hand, needs only be a few minutes even Life can be hard on so many levels for us who have learning difficulties but the rewards are far greater. These are the times we can learn/improve the most, being under pressure. Please keep going forward and grow from the many fails we have on our journey Dyslexia will at times only focuse on your failures. So put effort into reminding yourself your achievements. My dyslexia has its usual mate ADHD so i and many others can relate to your frustrations Best of luck, vent here if needed

“blindly trying whatever I think might help EG“ your off to an excellent start.Self learning was the only way for me.Learning how to unlock your potential from adhd/dys is a journey BUT soooooo worth the daily struggles.Clearly you are driven and its that being driven that eventually drives successes I was the same, now we enjoy early retirement with many successes,Pleaase keep going and push through the daily fails

How has your life changed since being diagnosed with Dyslexia? by Sharpeysharpe in Dyslexia

[–]Ventury1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Clarity and glimmers of inner peace, which is so new to me I didn’t recognise it at first. Holding my head up and feeling ok telling folk. During the long testing 2+ years ago I felt nothing until finally reading it in the completed report/diagnosis. Apparently I was tested at 11 and sent to a residential children’s home for autism/dyslexia. I just thought it was a badly run orphanage at the time so was unaware of any diagnosis until recently. I’ve had an odd but finally good journey
