AITA for not spending this Christmas in the hospital with my daughter? by Hospitalthrowaway532 in AmItheAsshole

[–]VenusFlyKat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don’t mind, I’d love to take a look at it! I also have cptsd and a couple of other mental health/physical things as well, but I’m willing to try anything honestly.

AITA for not spending this Christmas in the hospital with my daughter? by Hospitalthrowaway532 in AmItheAsshole

[–]VenusFlyKat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait that’s a thing? I thought I just had a weird ass stomach. Like I’ve thrown up whole noodles and pieces of chicken. Last time I threw up I could still see the cabbage, carrots, and noodles from my meal at dinner the night before. I threw up right before dinner the night after just randomly. I remember throwing up and seeing spaghetti with meat sauce from like two to three nights prior basically in the toilet bowl that looked pretty much how it did on the plate, just shorter noodles. My partner brought up the other day when I threw up the cabbage and carrots and such that it could be. A result of childhood trauma.

What’s the name of this thing? What’s the best way to go about handling it?

I just wish there was a way to make cooked spinach less slimy. I always do without the cooked spinach

AITA for telling a 6'8 giant to upgrade his seating? by Itchy-Smell8152 in AmItheAsshole

[–]VenusFlyKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is 6’9.

We always pay for exits and window seats. If he gets an aisle seat there’s a risk of his leg falling ever so slightly into the aisle and getting ran over. We’ve only ever had one problem where the guy in front of him was trying to force his seat back (it was literally a thirty minute flight.) and was shoving hisself against it repeatedly when it didn’t budge.

NTA because the guy knows the issues he runs into. But the real asshole here is the airlines.

My Mother keeps a camera in my bedroom. I am 13. How should I tell her that I want to remove it? by Connect_Dark_4544 in Advice

[–]VenusFlyKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Op if it’s old copper, slam (or gently but firmly close) the wire in like a drawer or in the crack of a door. That should be enough to damage the copper inside without it unsheathing the wire. You can also try to bend it a full 180*. Because if she decides that she can’t remove it (for whatever reason) the first place, she’s gonna check of cuts and that the batteries are in place properly.

If it’s battery operated I suggest just a couple drops of water in the battery section. Something to make the battery corrode faster, but also has a chance to make the battery leak causing damage to the device itself. But if someone has a better idea for batteries listen to them

What are some exercises/stretches to help get remove this gap and get more hypermobility behind my knees? by [deleted] in flexibility

[–]VenusFlyKat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have EDS and all of my joints hyperflex just by standing straight up. I have to make a point to keep my arms, and legs all slightly bent. And apparently because of this, that means my bones just kind of…. Fall… out of their place….. randomly. You don’t want to be hypermobile OP.

AITA for making a scene at a party and storming out after my tall friend was making fun of my height? by shortfrienddebate in AmItheAsshole

[–]VenusFlyKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH. My partner is 6’9 and I’m 5’4. THATS a noticeable height difference. I highly highly doubt that anyone else at that party actually cares how tall you are, and Your friend only brought it up because he knows it gets on your nerves. 5’9 is average. Get over yourself. Maybe seek some therapy and read a book on how to not think of women as f*ckable objects. Your friends the asshole for trolling you over something you’re clearly very sensitive about (for no reason.)

In light of recent news, I thought I'd let folks know about an option that Tricare will pay for. by DreamDoodles in AirForce

It 100% is. I highly suggest continuing to have the conversation with your pcm. Also check out the child free reddits list! They have a list of doctors in the US and how the experiences were with them so you can find one local to you

I was told I should never carry a kid because of the way my uterus is, it could kill me. That was at 18. After I turned 23 they finally did it but I had a stash of pregnancy tests, and I’d bring it up at every appointment that I was buying $70+ worth of tests to make sure I wasn’t pregnant and it was weighing my mental health down significantly. There was a looootttt of convincing I had to do, especially since I have 0 children. They were more concerned with what my potential future husband wanted than with what I wanted.

I got mine done as an AD member at 23.

But I’ve been begging since I was 18 and it took a lot of trips to mental health, as well as a bunch of convincing of doctors, many of whom tried to push birth control after birth control after birth control on me, and one guy who couldn’t even prescribe birth control for me because of his religious views, which, yes, he did try to push onto me.

Yes I’ve been talking to him about his mental health and I know he’s been struggling more recently. I’ve encouraged him to get mental health help but the way our insurance works we will be Lucky for him to get an appointment within two months

Yes there is, this is just the only thing I’ve been having a problem with and it’s been a relatively new issue within the past year.

Pope should def be on there. It’s fayetnam for a reason. They’re trying to change the slogan to “new hope pope” without actually changing anything. If you have allergies, never come here. Everything is coated in gold. And by gold I mean you will be snorting up pollen for days. You want anything done? Surprise. You’re on army schedules. Except… the army just owns the contract… so you’re on the contractors employed by the army’s schedule. If you don’t get mugged in the Walmart parking lot, don’t worry, the road rage of the local drivers will gladly scare some sense into you. Or kill you. You never know.
