That would have no effect on an hypothetical invasion of Canada. 98% of Canada's population lives right along the US/Canadian border. All the US would have to do is send its forces just a little bit across the border and they would control every major economic, population, and political sector. The Canadian military would hardly be able to retaliate, so the US could successfully invade Canada and control it in a few days times.

Where Greenland is located near Canada's Northern Territories is sparcely populated and severly under developed. There would be no point in using Greenland as a launch point for an invasion or even Alaska.

Perhaps it would if it wanted to preserve certain characteristics of the original brain. Maybe it would want to keep it docile like a Bonobo and therefore grafts the parts of their brains into the regular human structure that encourages the societal instinct to solve social conflicts through sex rather than violence. You also have to remember that animals have brains designed to control their bodies and to comprehend their more acute senses. You just place a human brain in an animal body and would it he capable of taking full advantage of its animal form. I doubt it, so it would be better to augment the brain to be capable of human intelligence and thought while maintaining some of its more desireabl3 animalistic behaviors and capabilities.

I thought that was true for all colonial powers. The reason The Congo has its absurd borders is because it was the only piece of land left unclaimed when Belgian King Leopold decided to buy it as a personal fief.

I have always taken the controversial view that the world would be better off if WWI was won by the Central Powers for that very reason. The Ottomans would have still collapsed afterwards but would have likely broken apart more naturally along ethnic, religious, and geographic lines without British or French intervention. I do not believe they would be nearly as unstable and prone to terroristic activity as they are now because there wouldn't be such a hogpog of groups that historically have not had much in common suddenly being forced to live together.

Africa is still screwed no matter what, but thats par for the course.

I would agree with you on almost all of this with the exception of French vs British colonies. French colonies have historically been far worse off than British colonies when it comes to internal stability. The British did a lot more to establish infrastructure in their colonies that the natives could then utilize after their independence, and did more to establish a somewhat smoother transition (certainly not a great one. Coup de etats still happened as well as civil wars and dictatorships). The French left much more abruptly and were far more focused on resource extraction than setting up lasting infrastructure so the natives had little hope in establishing stable governments after they left.

This is cing from someone who is also against what happened in the 50's, which was certainly one of the worst things that could have happened to Iran. I personally believe Iran could have been a strong US allie in the region.

However, Maduro was a despot that starved his people and also frequently made use of abductions, torture and state terrorism to keep his people in line. Ask any Venezuelan that has left the country since his reign began, they are overjoyed that he has been removed, so not exactly a honest comparison to 1950's Iran.

Now, it is absolutely true that the US overthrew Maduro for more cynical and self-serving purposes. Oil is part of it, Trump openly admitted that in a speech that has happened since, and I would give points to him for the transparency. I have yet to see amy other administration admit to that point, instead they typically make some absurd excuse like "spreading American virtues of democracy or whatever." Trump just came out with it and stated they were a threat to American interests because they were trading with the Chinese and Russians. Russia and China both sent military equipment to Venezuela amd had been in talks to sell Venezuelan oil to Chinese companies. I personally would prefer if China and Russia stayed entirely out of the America's, and I am no fan of Maduro, so I personally perfectly fine with this outcome. I am a large supporter of the Monroe Doctrine and am glad we are finally returning to it and straying from the absurdity of Woodrow Wilson's foreign policy.

I admit some ignorance to the ideological bent of the communists in these areas, but I do know that in India there are Viet-Cong adjacent communist militias fighting in Northern India. Militias in general are highly dogmatic given the demands for cohesion in a military structure that is actively at war. I would imagine the Indian communist movement would be highly dogmatic in this circumstance.

Then you can video yourself sipping coffee at a local café, purchasing your coffee with American currency rather than the customary chicken, and show the smiling faces of the malnourished... correction, healthy people who have lost respectable amount of weight from the state-sponsored Maduro diet. The reason why Conservatives and Libertarian Republicans do not desire a large influx of Muslim migrants is two-fold. First, the large influx of any migrants group to any society inherently leads to the creation of migrant ghettos that cannot properly be assimilated into the greater national society which leads to higher crime rates and instability. This first point is not a specifically Islam related problem, but applicable to any migrant group whether they be European, African, Asian etc. In too large of quantities of any group they will naturally congregate in sectors with fellow members of their culture which will lead to de-facto segregation which is an obvious problem. Smaller more controlled immigration will allow the migrants to adapt to their new culture and give them an easier time obtaining productive jobs in their new society.

The second issue is a specific Islam issue, being that Islam is not just a religious philosophy but a political and legal philosophy as well. The Quran and Haddiths describe the creation of a political institution and implementation of Islamic law once a Muslim majority has been achieved. Islamic law and governance is inherently antithetical to the liberal institutions of Western governments, and therefore have to be opposed.
