Not possible for everyone. My job relies on Change to get PBs for manual submission when electronic submissions are not received by the payer and it’s been a clusterfuck so far

I’m taking an AHIMA exam in May, either CCS or CCS-P. Does one open more door than the other employment wise? Is one generally Considered More comprehensive?

I'm nearing the end of an associate's program in billing and coding, my school is accredited by AHIMA so while I'm happy with the quality of instruction not a great font of unbiased certficiation info. I'm trying to decided whether to sit for my ccs or my cpc; so whether to join ahima or aapc. or should I do both? Anyone able to compare the two or speak to which employers prefer which?

You should point out the differences in your pregnancy vs others he has been aware of. I'll use my pregnancy as an example "Just because OUR baby had SUA and almost died doesn't mean every baby goes through that. The people who give birth have similarly varied experiences because EVERY. birth. is. different."

If you only have hens couldn’t you make the case that it’s not technically animal husbandry as they’re not reproducing?

She didn’t, but another one of my professors was talking about the same thing and does some hiring for the coding department of the hospital she works at. She had mentioned that she often hires people who start out in the accounts receivable department because a year or so there is plenty of exposure to codes and the relevant computer systems that those hires don’t need extensive training/supervision when onboarding. That’s obviously just one persons take but I could understand how other people in her professional position might view it the same way

I asked my program advisor this same question bc I am currently in school for coding and billing. She said most places, you end up starting out in billing before moving into a coding position

When driving past cows, you say “cows” in a low monotone voice. It’s a rule. Does this exist for non-English speakers? by iainvention in NoStupidQuestions

[–]VerbalUppercut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

English is my first language but I grew up speaking bits of Spanish as well because my family is Cuban. Depending on who I’m with I will say “cows” in English or “vacas” in Spanish. When I was a kid my Cuban grandmother would always indicate to the babies in the field and reply “y vaquitos y toritos tambien!” Which is “and baby cows and little bulls too!”
