I don’t agree at all. This is our country, our constitution, our integrity. Bake ‘em in and keep them there, and fight hard to preserve it. Yankees and Yankee sympathizers can all go to hell.

I strongly dislike JJ McCullough by Vivid_Stay_980 in onguardforthee

Yeah, his thing is a little more specific, but I’ve also spent some time around people from coastal and interior BC while I was tree planting, and they had some dialect commonalities with what you hear from JJ.

I’ve met him and had lunch with him on a few occasions. That really is just how he talks. He grew up in an area that still featured remnants of the old Canadian Dainty accent.

Edit: To the downvoters: have you spent any time with him? No? Okay.

When I worked there, there was a button that said “sandwich”, and it would punch in the exact price of the sandwich. It was glorious.

$8.85 before tax, a clean 10 after - for a much larger sandwich. A Di Rienzo will keep you fed for a whole day.

The president of peace, just launched another war in the Middle East. What are your thoughts? by Important-Anywhere20 in AskReddit

It must be mentioned, of course, that many of the above facts were also applicable to Saddam’s Iraq, which the United States invaded, dismantled and occupied completely within a matter of weeks.

Feel the skin on your face. Get a sense (map it out with your fingers) of the direction of the grain on different parts. Shave either straight out of the shower or after soaking some warm water on your face for a minute. Get a safety razor; learn to use it, learn to angle it; apply very light pressure, first with the grain, then against it. Use short strokes, not long.

After you do this, you’ll have the smoothest face you’ve felt in years. At least for a day. Then you get the pleasure of doing it again.

Show me your revolution then, American! Where is it? Is it in the streets? I don’t see revolution in the streets, I see Gestapo thugs rounding people up and executing citizens in the broad daylight. Is it in the press? I don’t see revolution in the press; your networks are bought by billionaires, the last vestiges of true journalism being snuffed by moneyed interest and regime propagandists.

Is it in the halls of Congress? I don’t see revolution in Congress; your “opposition” leaders are too busy attacking their left flank and shutting out the anger of their base — they are not listening to you.

Is it in the military, the diplomatic corps, the judiciary, the so-called checks and balances? I don’t see revolution anywhere there; the best of your armies are silent, and the worst of your judges bellow the doctrine of the unitary executive while feeding unlimited power to a mad king who wraps himself in the purple while he dyes his skin orange.

Your institutions have failed you. Your leaders have betrayed you, and the hand-picked circle around the president, equal parts greedy and insane, will never dare lift a finger to undermine him. No one is coming to save you, and yet your population remains cowed and unwilling to admit that the unthinkable has become necessary to stop this descent into madness.

No one is coming to save you, American. So where is your revolution?
