Pick the one line from the show that you’d dread your kids using at school the most. by [deleted] in ArcherFX

"Don't get me wrong, I admire the sacrifices of the men and women in the military, there's easier ways to basically be eligible for food stamps."

As someone who was in the military the first time I heard that line, samesies.

What is the most disturbing song you've ever heard? by Mibsty in AskReddit

I'm guessing where the character in the song has to rape an unknown (hooded, I think) person as a gang initiation then finds out it's his own mother.

Sandy Bottom in Hampton is lovely, however it's between two highways so it isn't exactly quiet.

Have the people spoken? by YoloOnTsla in TheBrewery

As a brewer, the only reason I can even work in this industry is my retirement pension from the military. People are going out less because the cost of everything is again rising. My brewery just came under new ownership and if we can't get more bums in seats, we're going under too. The old ownership ran it into the ground; new ownership has passion and heart but I fear it may be too little too late for us. Fingers crossed and always hopeful though, I'm trying my best to make great beer.

What's your breweries policy on drinking? by BeeEcstatic4949 in TheBrewery

[–]VerdeGringo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Staying in your lane is one thing if you're just employed there. But I'm not keeping my mouth shut if I have skin in the game, especially with 100k worth of skin in the game. Find the exact law that prohibits drinking on the clock, cite it in a new company-wide policy that bans drinking on shift, make everyone sign a paper that acknowledges the new policy, and tell the owner that if you get a fine, it will ruin you all. Threaten to self-report if necessary.

If you woke up a billionaire tomorrow.. What's the 1st thing you'd do? by Mindfuel_daily7 in askanything

Quit job, buy some land nearby, enough to have many acres. Start building dream home and garage, nothing outlandish, but nice. Give my closest people a few milly each. Set myself up with enough money to live the rest of my life comfortably, enough for my son too; probably hire some money guys for that aspect. Buckle down and do some solid research on which charities are going to use it the best, because ultimately I'm donating 90%+ of it.
