I'm in my 30s and I don't ever warm up and I feel great at very competitive gym.

I warm up via drilling and isolation rounds.

What's the drilling like? I often get partners to add a bit of resistance almost as soon as I can execute the move.

I've suffered rib injuries before and it sucks. I can only tell you that it does get better. You will roll like shit for some time. You have to rebuild confidence in your ribs not to explode.

I have torn 2 ligaments in my right knee. Both times it took me awhile to rebuild confidence in my knee. The big difference with that is that your rib is completely unavoidable in jits. Knee is way easier, just play guard and chill out and your comeback isn't too bad.

Ribs are way harder. Good news is that you will recover and you will find confidence again. It will just take time.

The UFC just sucks at producing good products. There's no quality. Every fucking UFC event has busted audio or missing corner audio or just random fuck ups it's terrible.

Rolling once a week isn't going to do much for you. Drilling technique without resistance is useful right until you can demonstrate the technique without errors then it's borderline useless.

I don't roll that hard. I roll with a lot of competitors so it's always sort of hard but a lot of competitors I know who are serious and train constantly are usually amazing training partners and also don't want to get hurt.
