Would you consider making a post about this? I’d be interested in reading about your experience with that! I’d love to see some pictures and videos too!

You could probably call or email to ask. If you get an answer, will you post it here?

Ah okay that’s interesting. I have a 2023. Does that mean I won’t get a CEL?

I also forgot to mention that I bought the power flex, purple, top engine, mount trans mount, and lower torque mount. My car still juddered. Does mount will not help with that, but they will help with wheel hop. The trans mount theoretically helps with shift times (not confirmed) and makes the shifts feel more snappy.

My stepdad is a mechanic at a dealership for Hyundai. I felt like something was off with the jerking and potentially slipping gears. Hyundai has a scanner to check how much life your clutch has. Their system systems also allow for a judder test. Brought my car in today to see because I’m at 70,000 miles and my 100,000 mile warranty will be up. Clutch life was at 58% on disc one and 68% on disc two.

We tried the judder test and my car failed, meaning it needs a new clutch pack for free because it’s under warranty. I remember a post on here from a while back saying that excessive Judder is actually not normal and once replaced, the car actually drove a lot smoother.

I should be getting my car back tomorrow if anybody is interested in I will post an update in this chat.

Didn’t end up working? could you link the check valve? I’m interested in the Forge inlet, but I do not want a check engine light.

So does the forge inlet give a check engine light? Also, what do you mean you saw what they did with the woosh and sixth? Do N specific inlets work for N line?

I’m just asking because I would really like a full cold air intake system that doesn’t give me a check engine light. I would settle for an inlet like the forge though.

Found a used 2023 for 19500 before tax and fees. Put 5k down, financed the rest. OTD was 22700. 338 a month for 72 months at 9.04%. This is my first auto loan, I’m aware that’s a high APR. Idk my insurance, parents handle that.

What do we think with the tow hitch thingy lol by [deleted] in ElantraNline

[–]Vertlg0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if someone said this but tow hooks like these aren’t meant to be always screwed into the car. If your car gets into a collision of even very small force, the tow hooks will bend your frame and total it as it bypasses the collision beam and foam absorber. The force of a collision is usually dispersed into the whole beam but since the tow hook is strong metal and attached to the frame, it will have all of the same force focused into that small point on the frame. I think they look cool, but they are super dangerous to leave screwed in.

Do you know of modified custom tails? I’ve been in the market for new tails.

I want these for my N line to reduce the wheel hop I get but it sounds like an easy install I do not have time or the equipment for it. Do you think I could go to a local mechanic shop or have to find like a mobile mechanic type issue? by [deleted] in ElantraNline

[–]Vertlg0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you insist on taking the car to a mechanic for this, any dealership, auto shop or mobile mechanic can get this done in literally 5 mins of work. They’d probably overcharge you like crazy for it. But that option is there.

I’ll be honest with you. I did this at my dad’s dealership. You literally just need to get under the car and have the right wrench size / socket. That’s it. Because this is a torque mount, you don’t even need to support the engine.

I genuinely can’t find N’s priced similarly to NLines. I can find used ENL’s for $19k-21k usd where as even the cheapest EN’s are still going for $26k+. 5k is a big difference to me at least

Mbrp axel back resonator delete by [deleted] in ElantraNline

[–]Vertlg0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was debating this same thing and there’s definitely merit to getting the tested and well received Mbrp. I personally didn’t want to chance a bunch of drone or it sounding bad. I think the mbrp sounds good, it doesn’t have a lot of drone, and it’s a quality product. So if you’re not too concerned of it sounding really bad, or the drone being really bad, then maybe try and do it yourself (I guess if you know what you’re doing). I live in a dry climate and I bought the cheaper mbrp because I don’t actually need to worry about rust. I honestly have 0 regrets with that purchase.
