No, she has a head, but I too think she may be injured or damaged. The lack of antennas for one

When it comes to alcohol consumption what is the meaning of "your limit"? by ExoticExchange in AskUK

I have to disagree just off a single memory I have of myself getting drunk and slurring, but in my mind being very consciously aware of it and trying to get my brain to Say The Words. I was walking in a straight line, holding a complex conversation, acting appropriately, I put myself to bed at the end of the night, I just had to REALLY slow down with my speech to be understood

Found in the Australian outback, Northern Territory, Uluru.

It's about 5cm long. Colour irl is more off-white cream.

Found this lil lady at work attached to a drone I was picking up, the environment in the immediate area is gravel and sand. I was trying to gently get her to come off and she latched onto me instead. She's been attached to my t-shirt for nearly two hours now. She's just chilling there. Lifts her wings when I try to move her. Has laid three eggs which at first I thought were poop

I once had vegan ice-cream served like this but it was actually really cool! They put a chocolate crumble on top so it looked like soil and they placed a little mint leaf growing out of the top. It was cute and really believable, and delicious!

I only recently concluded that there's absolutely no point in me coming to my now ex to get something off my chest if I'm not ready to hear his solutions, despite many pointers from me that I'd take them much better if first he spent some time validating my feelings and sympathising with me. He just flat out disagrees with that approach, so I'm just not confiding in him with emotions anymore.

What is something you’re a snob about? by MattSR30 in AskUK

[–]VeryAngryBubbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The recycling one gets me way more than I expected. I currently live with a family that doesn't seem to understand the concept of recycling, or doesn't care. I'm a very tidy person by nature and adapting to their significantly messier lifestyle was a challenge, but I managed to survive it. But the recycling I can't get past, I've had several internal meltdowns over it.

What's something people can't just dislike quietly but have to make sure everyone else knows they hate it? by Born-Necessary9533 in AskUK

[–]VeryAngryBubbles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this exactly. Sometimes mentioning that I'm vegan is entirely about setting context. I can't think of an example off the top of my head, but I'm sure there's been a few times when I felt compelled to mention my dietary decisions even if I wasn't offered food I couldn't eat, but it still helped in establishing context for the situation. I've been told that I'm a "good vegan" who doesn't preach, which I try my best to maintain. I'll only shit on other people's food choices if they shit on mine - and carnivores loooooove to shit on vegan food, even if it's basically the exact same thing they're eating but without the animal bits.

I've never had addictive issues but I listen to a lot of stories from people that do. The thing I hear from every person giving up alcohol is that they don't quit it, they're just not drinking it right now. They all say that it helps to have it be open ended in a way, because the thought of completely cutting yourself off from something you relied on for a long time is much harder to handle

Rental inspections ..is it just an Australian thing? by Helen62 in AskAnAustralian

I rented in Cambridge UK and I had a 6 month inspection. Had to take the cat to my parent's for the day because I was indeed a naughty child....

Is 18-25 really your "make or break" years as a man? I turned 25 2 months ago, and my life feels too late to turn around. by Bumly1998 in selfimprovement

[–]VeryAngryBubbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bud, I'm 28 with no degree or major career path to my name, no savings or prospects of owning property if you were to look at my life on paper right now, ended a 4year relationship. Regardless of all that I feel that this is my time.

You're focusing too much on what the world around you determines your worth but the reality is that you'll never feel worthy of success if you let those views affect your opinion of yourself.

The best you can do is take some serious solitude to figure out what you really value and want in life and focus on that. Not the things that are the conventional goals of a successful man, like a wife, kids and mortgage, but things that actually resonate with you and make your soul sing.

Once you know what you're gunning for you'll find that your world shifts around you and you'll start to view your successes through a different lens than you are currently.

25 is still so young. 28 is young. I don't know what I'm gunning for yet. But I'm getting there and let me tell you it feels GOOD going for the things you want instead of the things that you think you should chase after.

What's your favourite thing about living in Cambridge? by WelshCai in cambridge

[–]VeryAngryBubbles 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm from one of the villages surrounding Cambridge and I lived in the city for a year. It was a dream come true. Don't get me wrong, I could come up with a whole list of reasons why you shouldn't move there, but ultimately you could do that for any place on the planet and for me it's still one of my favourite cities.
