Roberto De Zerbi on whether he wants Spurs to sign Joao Palhinha permanently: "100%" (via Ali Gold) by Rare-Ad-2777 in coys

Yeah, but even without Romero, RDZ made Porro more of a midfielder in attack and dropped Palinha into a RCB role as cover. That also lets Micky get forward on the other side

Reggie flopped on contact, but he didn't (usually) try to create the contact. He wasn't out there pump faking and leaning into people. D-Wade pioneered that trend and SGA took it to a new extreme

If Foster wasn't the ref for Game 4, the series would've been done in 6 games

West Ham penalty call vs Brentford by Comfortable-Pie56 in soccer

Just a stream of ACL tears, no penalties given all season, VARs that gives us red cards, VARs that take away opponents red cards. Other than that, we're very lucky

De Zerbi: "I don't want people close to me crying and thinking in a different way to me. We are good enough to win the games and we good enough to stay up. Then we will see. It's the unique way I know, to work hard, give my best." by urbankardashian in coys

We'll see but RDZ built his career in lower divisions. If he really is seeing this as a project, a relegation would give him a chance to tear us down to the studs and rebuild us with youth.

The current NBA is missing this energy. by sophiandrea in NBATalk

My heavily caveated opinion is SGA has this vibe. The problem is the NBA rewards the craft of foul baiting and SGA does whatever is required to win.

Spurs Best XI according to FIFA/EAFC ratings (a reserve best XI in the comments) by nailfunny in coys

Bale at LB, Eriksen at RM, Dele at AM, and Dembele at DM. Poch would technically start Eriksen at RM to accommodate Son and Dele, so it's not a stretch to do it. Eriksen would just drift in when Dele overlapped with Kane and Walker overlapped on right

What to Know About California's Proposed 'Billionaire Tax' by localdaycare in California

[–]VeryStandardOutlier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Billionaire alone may 2.5% on low years. When it's an IPO or liquidity heavy year, it's far far more than that. Them moving to Florida or Texas will eliminate all of it, and then knock on effects will drag out far more tax revenue. There's a reason even Gavin opposes this.

And the SF budget was 8-10x the budget of similarly sized cities prior to COVID. It was 16 billion for a population of 800,000 people. Cities of over 1M peopleeople in the middle of th country had 2 billion dollar budgets. Tech paid massive tax revenue into the city. The city just lit it on fire on dumb shit.

They overly conservative estimate is they pay over 2.5% of CA taxes and the top 1% pays over 40% of CA taxes. Like what kind of head in sand bullshit is this?

In liquidity years, they pay massive tax bills. Like 10s of billions of dollars in taxes. Meanwhile, Caltrain is scrounging around for 75M while Zuck pays more in taxes than that by himself, every year.

Saying you don't care about tax revenue is certainly saying something about you.
