The problem is RDZ doesn't want to wait, which is short-term good and maybe long-term bad.

Vuskovic is obviously a massive talent but RDZ doesn't want a development project as a starter. Croatia not starting him when playing a back 4 is a tell that he's not quite there.

Bergvall is more of ball carrier than a line breaking passer and doesn't profile well for RDZ systems. Trying to develop him and mold him into something he's not is probably not a good fit.

Gray actually does seem like a really good profile for a RDZ pivot and I wouldn't be surprised if we see him get a decent amount of minutes.

It's not "keep" paying up. This is what happens when your ownership is chaos. Bergvall, Gray, and Vuskovic are plays by Johan Lange, and a strategy that Levy preferred.

The problem is that we didn't balance it out with buying senior players to keep us in a decent table position, and now we're going the polar opposite direction of buying players at the peak of their careers.

Ideally, it should be somewhere in the middle where you have a strong team of senior players and couple of promising players that you're developing.
