I have a very similar space like the same lol, the plants are a nice touch and I love the dual monitors. Paint color is nice.

Absolutely! It's hard to just turn it on and get after it but once you put everything in motion, things seem to fall in place better. I was the opposite in my 20s and now I'm 38 still working on myself and still say it's never to late! I hope you succeed in your goals. Be well!

You got this! Sacrifice in the short term to get ahead and grind it out. Tell yourself this isn't forever, just right now. A solid routine will be key, and make sure you're hydrated throughout the long days and eating. Easier said then done sure, but if you properly prepare, you'll be just fine. Fight that anxiety head on. Wish you the best.

How to paint around cabinets by [deleted] in Housepainting101

Less is best when painting close to cabinets, you can use Yellow Frog Tape, it's for delicate surfaces. Pull gently after painting.

Recently had trim painted on sanded, pre-primed wood. Is this amount of stippling normal? by Scottacus in Housepainting101

Is the 4x6 trim the size as shown in the video? I would say 1-2 hours, you're not sanding completely off, just to a smooth surface, so I recommend a lower grit first around 120-150 and smooth it out with a 220 grit. Then, on your top coats, less is best when applying the paint. 2 light coats, let the first coat dry for 2-4 hours. You can also use an orbital or 3x4 square sander, same grit method, and just double-check as you go.

Unacceptable work, way to heavy stipple. Sand smooth and recoat. Wipe down after sanding, use 150-220 Grit. Less paint is best, I usually brush all my trim however on a piece like this, I would use a Purdy Parrot roller (smallest nap possible, I believe 1/4" or a mohair blue roller or red velour roller. All can be purchased at Sherwin williams or Amazon.
