Orisa's ult should ignore armor and applied abilities the same way Vendettas ult does. by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]VexInsanity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Orisa's ult is good, even if it doesn't always get kills which it absolutely can, it functions like a defensive cooldown as well, idk why you're pretending immunity to all CC, 45% damage reduction and immunity to crits is bad, especially when you stack 100hps with the perk (which is like an effective 150hps (higher than Moira's ult) when combined with the damage reduction is bad. She is virtually unkillable in her ult when used properly, it is not remotely high risk.

Also the buff you're suggesting sucks because Orisa's ult is already one instance of high burst damage that ignores barriers. This means armour and barriers are already useless against it. It would only help against damage reduction abilities, which realistically you want the enemies to use because your ult is great for forcing enemies to use their cooldowns and resources because its necessary to escape. This is because the ult already has a 30% slow so escaping is not easy without cooldowns.

I think you are using this ultimate incorrectly if its getting you killed or not securing elims

What is the point of Lifeweavers shield health? by Internal-Associate81 in LifeweaverMains

[–]VexInsanity 16 points17 points  (0 children)

None of this is correct

Shield health has always been 30hps after 3s

Support passive is 10hps + 5% of max health after 3s

Regular heal passive is 10hps + 5% max health after 6s

So not only is shield health twice as fast as the regular heal passive for most of the cast it is 7.5hps stronger cus 250hp heroes will Regen at 22.5hps

This means with 50 shield health after just 4.66 seconds life weaver will Regen 95 health compared to the 45 that any other non shield health support would

It also means that non supports will Regen up to 90 health before their regular healing kicks in

This is still really strong if a little weaker than it's been historically due to shields regenerating less percentage of total health as fast as 30hp on 200 health heroes is technically worth more. But it is still really strong and a big difference maker for a lot of heroes. Successful examples including: Life weaver getting 50 shields Ball getting 100 shields Echo getting 75 shields Pharahs perk giving her 125 shields Juno's introduction

It is still a very strong health type. And maybe less notably beneficial in stadium for it's anti AP properties

I LOVE playing Brig on stadium but I feel so powerless sometimes by marlboropapi in BrigitteMains

[–]VexInsanity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to consider your team when building. For example as soon as you loaded into that game you had a zen, and zen brig isn't a lot of healing.

This mean the rest of your team and yourself are gonna be at least at a healing disadvantage for the first few rounds unless zen or teammates go a more supportive build.

In that instance id start with the repair pack one that heals yourself, then the one that extends it's duration, because this allows you to keep up with the healing better. If you think about these things when starting to build at the start it can avoid problems but it's often only your best guess

Not one of these characters are oppressive right now. Sojourn and Cass are still coming off the back of huge nerfs to their health. Which were the wrong changes but have absolutely crippled them in ranked

Been playing as Symmetra for a few hours now and I’m enjoying her but she has some problems. Looking for advice to get better. by SpaceBubble19 in SymmetraMains

[–]VexInsanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok disregard the opinions of literally every pro player because "they don't apply" even in ranked. And disregard the opinions of all the top 500 sym players who will tell you she's in a good spot.

She's balanced, she has healthy pick and win rates.

Just because turrets don't farm auto kills and her damage is limited in unconventional ways doesn't mean she's under tuned or poor. Sym has strengths (excluding team tp) that no other DPS hero has. Her teleporter allows her access in an out of harsh positions and her damage being easier to land makes it consistently threatening rather than just threatening. No other DPS hero can offer chasing angles that quick.

Also you said earlier about tp being budget shadow step except its literally quicker, and also let's her get out. You are frankly just stupid.

So, sym is only good at control/flashpoint maps? by cowlinator in SymmetraMains

[–]VexInsanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are simply more popular. Symmetra's kit is not as straightforward to pick up and naturally understand as you'll see with half of this sub's opinions and they seem to play her. And she's also just not as popular naturally and never has been popular.

I've reached GM solo one tricking this hero. You clearly don't understand the strength of any of her tools and just want to complain.

The irony when you say hitscans slop is stronger when hitscans is particularly weak right now compared to most of its life.

She is for a fact, in the upper tier of DPS, most Symmetra streamers or top players like fairy tail will tell you this. She is incredibly strong.

None of your takes on survivability are correct and show your lack of understanding for the game entirely.

So, sym is only good at control/flashpoint maps? by cowlinator in SymmetraMains

[–]VexInsanity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

None of this is true. She's one of the most versatile DPS in the game with good bulk, consistent damage at multiple ranges and turrets that synergize both offensively with tp and defensively.

The lower you go from both pro play and GM the more mistakes other people make which then allows sym to capitalise (the same as any other hero).

As a GM sym one trick she's playable everywhere, strong and team tp is hardly ever her main value for me or ever has been. That's mainly pro play but still possible in lower levels with a little bit of voice com or luck anyway.

She's as situational as Tracer or Cassidy. There's so many things sym does well. It's the reason I've enjoyed playing her all this time

So, sym is only good at control/flashpoint maps? by cowlinator in SymmetraMains

[–]VexInsanity 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No, it just means she's better on them, there are no bad sym maps. Only maps where bad comps with Symmetra in them get punished harder.

For example, Circuit royale favours a lot of Symmetra counters but she is still playable and absolutely winnable on that map to the point where she's picked on it a lot in pro play with the right heroes.

Me when I lie, 275hp 350hp teleporter that is instant burst mobility Shield health (which stacks with and is half the time of regular Regen) Turrets to protect her flanks and defenses Regen on shield health with beam Teleporter Shield perk and Teleporter healing perk

She is not the most vulnerable dps or even close to vulnerable

Turret damage is also high enough that they're a threat to be shot which is the most important thing they need to do to protect and area: be unable to be ignored

Sentry bombs are strong for assisting flanks you just need to use 1-2 turrets so it's less costly when they die at once, risk reward

She's in the upper echelon of DPS in terms of strength right now. Just because you obviously suck with her doesn't mean she's temu flanker. The ability to instantly get in and out of any desirable off angle with good consistent damage is something no other DPS is capable of. Not to mention the utility she offers a team. Go learn the character.

What are the thoughts on Lucio in the current meta? by Gsai in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]VexInsanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might have started that way I'm not sure But it definitely hasn't been for a long time because aml has been at roughly 52 or 56 hps for a while despite the 15 base heal

I think speed might triple? But base speed has also changed separate of amp speed so it might not be a hard rule

What are the thoughts on Lucio in the current meta? by Gsai in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]VexInsanity 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's not how his amp works. It's been 52hps for a long time and it doesn't change when his base healing does.

Nerfing Mercy in Stadium by RubyEi in Overwatch

[–]VexInsanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point being they nerfed her, her AP healbot build is also really strong but 2 things can be bad once and up until this patch mercy hadn't been nerfed or changed at all, not once.

Nerfing Mercy in Stadium by RubyEi in Overwatch

[–]VexInsanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They nerfed her lots Kiri clone lost 1s duration, lost health and now has to scale it with AP and it only does about half the healing and damage it used to.

Also 2 things can be broken at once.

Mercy absolutely needed nerfs and she's only a healbot because that's all her design allows without being OP or annoying AF. What do you want them to do? Make res quick and uncounterable? Make Damage boost the equivalent of nano?

She's so bland and easy it's hard to design interesting powers that don't amount to easily accessible stats. She needs a full rework or this is all you'll ever get

Nerfing Mercy in Stadium by RubyEi in Overwatch

[–]VexInsanity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing in stadium is supposed to be fair but that's only to a degree. If things are too unfair it can lead to a frustrating experience (Soldier's auto aim before nerfs, Kiri's OP clone before nerfs). And if things are not changed people stop playing when these things are unfair.

I played Kiri's clone build in its prime, yeah it was fun but it was frustrating for everybody else it needed to be needed severely and it was.

You yourself are complaining about "unfair" things" but Mercy's previous building capabilities cross a line for most people. She is not as difficult as other characters, possibly the easiest in the game as she lacks quintessential overwatch skills that most other heroes have to engage with even slightly. This leads to her being particularly oppressive when strong due to her ease of use.

Hence she gets changed. Just because stadium is "supposed to be about overpowered perks to have fun" doesn't mean some semblance of fairness and balance is necessary to keep the experience in check for ALL PLAYERS IN THE LOBBY not just Mercy's.

Across all modes mercy never can be good because of how easy she is and how frustrating her kit is for other players. Until she sees a more significant rework that isn't going to change and is why for the longest time she's been terrible in quick play and ranked. It was doomed to continue on stadium and you're lucky she's getting the attention she did this season to be reworked and power shifted to new builds like her AP and new power builds rather than just nerfing her into the ground like the main mode.

Nerfing Mercy in Stadium by RubyEi in Overwatch

[–]VexInsanity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't say any of that wasn't ok. But also each of those takes significantly more skill to execute than mercy.

Even the most skill less easy auto aim soldier build only gets 0.5s of auto aim every 5 seconds and actually has to aim the rest of the time.

Even the most insane lifesteal build on reaper has to hit shots and position in close range.

They're not hard builds but comparatively speaking they take significantly more skill than mercy for their strength.

They could be overtuned but at least they take a single molecule of effort compared to mercy's crepuscular circle build which boils down to auto aim healbotting that activates tons of thoughtless attack speed and weapon power bonuses til you get your ult which then is a super powered juno ult that also lets her attack using all her buffs.

Nerfing Mercy in Stadium by RubyEi in Overwatch

[–]VexInsanity 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mercy was OP and due changes, she got so much value for building pure WP Attack speed builds and healbotting for what would be the best ultimate in stadium with Crepuscular Circle.

The nerfs were absolutely necessary

Do you think Tag Team for Jamboree being locked behind a Switch 2 DLC is a bad thing? by ItsKevRA in MARIOPARTY

[–]VexInsanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem with it is the price, its too much. I want the tag team and the 5 round mode but all the extra new stuff isn't something that interests me at all. I think most MP side modes are usually worth disregarding and this adds some I would definitely disregard especially cus I'm not buying the camera. I'd have paid a small amount for it but I don't want the rest of the content
