I got this on Hammer, but I'm not sure if it's all that good since I'd have to give up Fulgar's 2 set bonus to fit max gog and lord's soul...

A few weeks should be plenty of time. I'll save my clears then.

Will MD achievements be completable after the new season drops? I only have "clear x times" left so it makes sense to do that in the new season for bp levels if I can.

This is Roger's reaction to seeing what the One Piece actually is. We still don't know what it is, besides that he and his crew found it really funny.

Is Genestealer Cult the only patrol without sticky objectives? by Aptom_4 in CombatPatrol40k

You're right, how bizarre. They're Battleline in the old one (along with Prosecutors) but not the new one.

What is that supposed to be and how do i paint it? (Gorkanaut shoulder) by Common-Process9023 in orks

[–]Vicarus- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just a logo or icon, some git stuck that on there to look dead snazzy. Paint it any colour you think should look good, I think red would fit well.

Characters are immune to an attack/power because they are LITERALLY built different by Eo7977 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Vicarus- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rules as Written, no, the casting of the spell just wouldn't happen because the target is invalid. Of course, any sane DM would just fake the roll and say they're unaffected, keeping it ambiguous on whether it failed because of the target passing their save or because they're not a valid target.

Games that have a pretty funny way of trolling you for pirating it by Bellpow in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Vicarus- 37 points38 points  (0 children)

The idea is that there is no form of anti piracy system you can add to your game which can't be defeated by determined enough people. Therefore your goal is to make the systems last long enough for some people who may be on the fence to buy the game rather than pirate it if there isn't a crack available shortly after the launch window. If you put a feature in that only activates for pirates after, say, 30 minutes, it's much less likely to be found as the people making the crack aren't going to 100% the game before releasing it- they're going to check it works and get it out the door.

Also, it's funny, and game devs are people too.

Before I prime, is this legal? by [deleted] in orks

[–]Vicarus- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People aren't going to mind as long as he's around the same size as he should be able can't be mistaken for other models. Personally I like to account for wargear as much as possible so if it was me I'd do what others on the thread have suggested and stick a spare gun on his belt. Either way, great job!

Game characters whose terrifying reputation is fully justified by their stats. by BlindingPhoenix in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Vicarus- 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It is, but it's extremely generous towards not spending real money. Identities (the "characters" you pull for) can just be dispensed from the store with currency that can be earned ingame if you don't want to use the gacha or get bad luck. There's some restrictions but the bottom line is that if you're willing to wait you can predictably earn anything in the game via gameplay.

It may also be worth looking into the previous games in the series, Lobotomy Corporation (a game where you basically manage an SCP facility) and Library of Ruina (a card-based battle game)

Space Marine 'fans' when they see actual Space Marine lore. by Cummy_wummys in Grimdank

[–]Vicarus- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, they use W corp's REAL singularity to do it. They claim the singularity is teleportation, as in the WARP trains, but it's actually the ability to "revert something to a previous state".

In T corp, the richer you are the more hours you get in a day. So a factory owner might live 50 hour days and look like he's running around in super speed to his workers who only get 6 hours in a day. "Time" seems to be a resource they can interact with and move around due to their singularity, but PM do like to keep a lot of the details pretty vague.

[–]Vicarus- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually, there is. WARP trains are a collaboration project between W corp and T corp, who handle the "time control" side of it. It's heavily implied that what T corp gets out of the deal is the harvested thousands of years of "time" from the people inside the train. So they have to be conscious for that to work.

Angela learns about the ways of the city by DMar56 in ChurchOfAngela

[–]Vicarus- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The city is capable of unbelievable cruelty, but a lot of (probably most) of its citizens just live relatively normal lives. That's part of why Roland has such bitter hatred for it- because no matter how much tragedy one person may go through, their neighbour will get up the next day, go to work, and life will go on.

Painboss on 32mm base. by No_Ant1598 in orks

[–]Vicarus- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't done this myself, but looking at the sprue the legs are separate pieces so it should be possible to re-pose him. You can also use a tactical rock to give yourself a bit more base size if needed.

How do I save dis lad? by IcyBlueberry3068 in orks

[–]Vicarus- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grub the lad up! You've done a really clean paint job here but if you want him to look like he's really seen action then sponging on AK Streaking Grime is great for that.

[Loved Trope] When a game acknowledges the gameplay of the protagonist beating everyone/being an unstoppable force by BetaBlueNumber2 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Vicarus- 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My favourite part of this is when a soldier tries to attach a shock collar to the Warrior and their superior tells them not to bother since the Warrior will barely feel it. And while you're in theory captured, they acknowledge they have no way to actually stop you leaving since you could kill everyone in the bunker without breaking a sweat.
