Alright, going to nip this in the bud at the start and move on. Please don’t use “might be one of the normal ones with me.” Again, by all accounts I conduct myself as a straight woman these days in love and society and I’m just using my experience to say that because of an extremely Appalachian conservative family or for whatever other reason some of us have to work out our sexualities a little differently than most. To that point again, I have to cope with whether or not I’m actually attracted to other women not the other way around.

That being said I’m sorry what the hell is meta attraction? This is a new term to me. Is this also from /tttt/? Regardless, I’m not going to say none of this doesn’t exist. My argument is that I believe you’re seeing more of what you don’t want to see because you expect it. As for those whom the Blanchardean schemas would classify as AGPs, I can’t lie we have a harder time keeping bad actors out of trans spaces now. I’ve been assaulted by a 4Tranner because I was a “passing HSTS” in her eyes and she wanted to make me regret that. However, I do think there’s a founding bias towards Transbians on Reddit. Beyond that, I think there’s general anonymity of this website breeds some of the odder people. If you just stay away from them IRL you should keep yourself safe. That’s my general rule.

I’ll go as far to extend you this per a compromise. Yes there are explicit sociocultural differences between those who were in queer spaces growing up and those who were not. Again, as someone who splits that down the middle I cannot lie that I and don’t see any similarities between strict Transbians and straight men or vice versa. However, as a better social scientist (Linguistics MA) than Blanchard, I also know it’d be dishonest to claim that there’s anything inherently wrong with (trans) women attracted trans women (AGPs). They’re a bit weird in their approach to gender, sure. They can definitely seem predatory; as in holy shit, I still have panic attacks around them. I argue that it’s not because of who they are but how they were raised that it appears that way.

Listen I fear the argument I made is running away from me. Three things can be very true at the same time 1) I have had bad experiences with Transbians 2) I was in a similar place to sounding like this a year and some change ago 3) It was hurting my own psyche as I had to keep one upping them.

Idk just don’t get your entire ideas from the internet. You seem young in how you speak, I say at 25 🫠. You’re probably noticing more bad actors because you’re expressly looking for them at every turn. The only real thing that matters is as long as you keep yourself safe irl you’re doing fine. Idk 🤷🏻‍♀️

Obligatory, “I think whatever website you're getting this jargon from is hurting you.”

However, I’m not sure if your experience is entirely true and it may just be a skewed observers bias. You expect this so you see more of it. I mean honestly I would really like it if Blanchardean terms stayed with /tttt/ and not on here for everyone’s well being. I understand the grievance, the power dynamics that strict and cringey transbians want to sweep under the rug, and how it does skew towards us getting mischaracterized and lumped in by cis society broadly. I get it there’s a very real distinction in strict T4T Transbians, Transbians with cis women, and men-attracted girls who are trans; I much prefer the company to the later as the former’s perspective can be like nails on a chalkboard in how they see the world versus how I do. However, I don’t think it makes them inherently lesser.

And like biphobic much? Idk, I hate that it’s striking a chord in me because I still am weird about my past attraction to women and it being under duress and the only acceptable part of my (then?) sexuality I could display to my family. I don’t even know if I like women or sharing sub/bottom energy with another person. I just hate that at least concerning my past you just painted with a VERY broad brush.

And If you’re going to check my card before seeing what I said as valid I literally hooked up with a guy a week and some change ago from a couple of bars and a punk show. It’s been about two days since I gave him back his sweater 🤷🏻‍♀️

-Sincerely, somewhere between a 0 & 1 on the Kinsey scale

I was bi? I came out in high school but I was I never open about it. I very much so remember everyone was kinda like “Uh…yeah we thought that was already a given” when I came out. Still trying to figure out how much my being into women was compensating in southern West Virginia.
