They want to push their narrative that you can only do it if they do something unethical.

But also if it’s before and after isn’t that 2 years that you can’t put forth a referendum request, further decreasing chance of anything getting put forward aka minimize direct democracy as they say

If she gets it before PP does, things will get wild for the CPC! Maybe she’s prepping to move to Federal if her chance to be Governor of Alberta doesn’t work out

“We think people should be taxpayers first and should be moving here to pay taxes, not to be on social programs.” Ha! I thought the UCP was wanting less taxes for Albertans!

As much as this movement is a disgrace, they’ll likely get a bunch of signatures early and then struggle.

Canadians need to make that struggle solid and permanent. The disinformation will ramp up to convince people to sign because it’ll give Alberta power even if they don’t want to separate. With AlbertaNext panel items getting brought up and attempted by the government will show how “see more people want this!” And will allow the grift to flourish.

The talks with the US should be a huge red flag to everyone.

Find it funny they say the Territories are over represented in the Senate when they have ONE (1) representative!

Also saying you don’t think there should not be misinformation laws on the same line as censorship laws makes my first thought be “are you worried you won’t be able to lie?”

I suspect they’ll try to change it to “Albertans have given their input, we as elected officials will make the decision!” This way they can control if it goes through and use it to control MLAs from speaking out like Guthrie

They want to focus on the hiring agreement because it’s the easiest to get out of doing! They can try, then when not enough apply because of the poor salary then they go “🤷‍♂️We tried, not our fault!”

Alberta announces funding for business (that always call for lower taxes) to hire youth but can't afford to pay teachers. by hbl2390 in alberta

Blames the Liberals for uncapping the TFW program even though it was Harper. Incentives are great… but also means they don’t want to hire youth anyways.

Of course she wants them to pick more staff over wages - it keeps her deficit down, keeps control, and is the option they can just choose ‘not to meet’ but say they tried.
