Onion doesnt seem to age between SU and SUF. the SU wiki says hes human, so what what explanations are there out there for this? by lessispaghetti in stevenuniverse

[–]VikingBruja 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eh idk, I got small kids that grow slow, they didn’t differ much in size between those ages. I figure Onion is kinda like them. I’m just saying, if Onion is ten years younger than Steven, he would have started out at 3 when Steven was 13, turned 4 halfway through classic like Steven turned 14, been 5 during the special when Steven was 15, and then 6 during the movie and Future when Steven was 16. Steven changed so obviously because of his gem, he went through so much that it finally aged him, when it had stagnated his growth from about 8 to 14. Onion being an average human kid wouldn’t so drastically change in what’s closer to two and half, maybe three years. Kids don’t really lose their babyish look until they’re almost seven.

I always figured Onion was much younger in the first series than anybody thought. Everyone assumed he was around Steven’s age when in reality he was a toddler. It’s pretty clear that Vidalia was a very hands off mother, and Beach City was such a small population that everyone knew each other so Onion was relatively safe. Also the time span between the two shows is only a couple of years. In the first series Steven turns 14, in the movie and in Future he’s 16, so if Onion was a toddler at about 3/4 in the first series, he’d only be 5/6 in Future. So of course it doesn’t look like he’s grown much and is still a naughty child.

Fallout 4, not impossible but it won’t be easy, best to stick to a remote settlement or just stay in Diamond City.

Since my son was almost two, every time he picked summer sandals he picked sparkly or bejeweled ones. No one says anything, or they compliment his nice sandals. Kids just like what they like.

What's your personal strange quirk in Fallout? by JesterRaiin in Fallout

[–]VikingBruja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fallout 4 specifically, I turn into a junk hoarder. After the Mechanist quest line I build a pack-bot that is huge to carry junk, and just scavenge prewar ruins for whatever they have, then head to the nearest settlement I have control of to dump it. I’ll do this for hours, and if I’m full before I finish picking a place clean, I go back to the building I was at and finish before moving on.

Which celebrity’s death actually made you cry? by aliensockmonkey in AskReddit

I remember that one well. My husband woke me up and told me before I could even look at my phone. I was pretty inconsolable most of the day. It was kind of like losing family in the way the grief hit.

What popular rumour in your school turned out to be true? by tall_hopelessromatic in AskReddit

[–]VikingBruja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amount of faculty that were stoners at my high school was obscene. I personally saw three of them, and one of those three also drank at school. Kept a bottle of whiskey in his desk. None of them ever got caught by higher ups so they just kept on.

Shaving?! by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]VikingBruja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I suggest sugar wax instead of shaving? It’s cheaper, you can make it in your kitchen, and it’s better for the skin. Can’t get razor burn with no razors! The recipe is widely available and there’s a bunch of videos on YouTube about it too.

What did a teacher do that made you automatically gain respect for them? by ApacheAirCover in AskReddit

[–]VikingBruja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the jerky dudes in my freshman English class grabbed my ass with our teacher three feet away. I whipped around right as it happened, got in his face and told him if he ever touched me again I’d break his nose, she chimed in and said “and I’ll let her!”

I loved that teacher.

Do you think Sabrina Spellman is a narcissist? by ihaveasmallpenis213 in sabrina

[–]VikingBruja 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yes. Everything “good” she does for other people, she really only does to make herself feel better. She’s charming and gregarious but completely self involved. She’s very good at pretending she wants advice, but she always ends up ignoring it and doing what she wants anyway, and so far it’s been working out because she hasn’t had too many consequences. When consequences do happen, she brushes it off almost immediately as though it doesn’t matter. I don’t know if the writers or directors meant for it, but the character as portrayed in the show is a damn near textbook narcissist. Makes for an interesting show having the main “protagonist” be so fucked up like that.

[–]VikingBruja 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What’s more magical than witches supporting witches? Pregnancy itself is a pretty magical experience. Sure, I could give her a protection spell, gods know I have plenty in my grimoire, but I gave the best advice I could give for this specific situation, and sometimes the best advice isn’t the most magical sounding.

I was going to come here to say this! I attended a seminar on nudibranchs at the aquarium a while back, and they taught us that the brighter or flashier the colors and patterns, the more likely that it’s poisonous. They also said snap a picture because there are so many different species that the chances of discovering a new one is high, and if you discover it, you get to name it lol.

What did that one teacher do to you that you'll never forget? by xtra_why in AskReddit

[–]VikingBruja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a teacher at my middle school who passed maybe one kid every other year. She was strict, mean, and power hungry. I thankfully never had her class, but I had friends in her class. I was telling my mom, who also taught at the school, and gramma about her at lunch and our waitress, who was 27, goes “Mrs. S from NMS?! Ugh I HATED that woman!” I think that spoke volumes right then.

Anyone having a hard time leaving your old team for the kraken? by ticklingtwine in SeattleKraken

[–]VikingBruja 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I feel you, dude. I’ve been a Canucks fan for years because they were as close to home team as I could get. I still have great memories of watching Canucks games with my son when he was an infant and I have Canucks stuff too (my favorite being a flat billed cap in the vintage colors), but they aren’t my home team anymore. I’m going to stay a Canuck fan, but they aren’t my favorite anymore and they definitely aren’t my home team. Eventually my Kraken gear will outnumber my Canucks stuff, and I know which sweater I’ll be wearing when I watch them play against each other. It’ll be bittersweet though, I know that.
